How to connect multiple video sources

Bose makes a product called a VS-2 video enhancer. All it is is a video scaler and switcher, which, if I remember correctly, has 3 composite in, 3 component in, and 2 HDMI in, with 1 HDMI out, among other connections. It sync's with your Lifestyle system to pick the correct video input when you pick the audio input that corresponds. I can't seem to find it on the Bose website, although I did find the below link. The piece is probably discontinued, but I'm sure Bose or your local dealer can get a hold of one.

Unable to get video signal

Hello,
Make sure your playback devices are properly connected to your receiver. Whatever playback devices you use, make sure they are plugged into the appropriate inputs on your receiver. DVD and Blu-ray players, satellite boxes and cable boxes should all be plugged into video inputs, and CD players should be plugged into audio inputs. Your receiver will have labels on the back panel indicating into which input you should plug your devices.
2
Connect the video out to your TV's video input. Make sure you use the correct cable to make the connection. For newer receivers, the connection will likely be either HDMI or component. If your receiver has an HDMI output, use an HDMI cable to connect the receiver to the HDMI input on your TV. If your receiver uses a component output, use a component cable to connect your receiver to the component input on your TV.
3
Connect the audio output of your TV to one of the audio inputs on your Samsung receiver if you want to output your television's audio through your home theatre system. Most recent TVs will either use an optical cable or a digital coaxial cable to connect to the receiver, allowing you 5.1 channel surround from your television. If you have an older set, you will likely have to use standard RCA cables.
4
Turn on your receiver and press the "Setup/Menu" button on your receiver's remote. When "Input" appears on the display, press the right arrow key on your remote to select TV from the list.
5
After selecting TV, press the up or down arrow keys on your remote to select the audio input jack into which you have plugged your TV's audio cable. Press the "Exit" button on your remote to exit the setup menu and lock in the settings.

Hope this help in solving the problem,Thanks and take care...

When I insert a DVD

If you have Bose dealer there I would contact them. They would know best.I am very familiar with Bose stuff as we used to contract with them but I never saw this issue because I am in the US.I know it's not much of an answer but that is the best suggestion. If you do not have a Bose dealer in Sweden,I will call one here in the US to see what they have to say. Also,I was glad to see Sweden win gold in 2006 because of the players involved. Many of those players have never even played for the Cup.Modin won it in 2004 where I am Tampa. But Sundin never came close.Good luck! DVD has clicking noise the whole time it plays and

Could be electronic or mechanical. First step in diagnosing is to clean the player. Do you have a cleaning disc? If not, most folks shouldn't try to open a Bose player. Too much crammed inside. Look for your nearest Bose service center and give them a call to see when they can look at it for you. It could be as simple as a glob of dust on the laser pickup or it could be other foreign bodies inside the player or it could be electronics out of spec for the servos, or ... or... Best to take something like this piece to the service center.
email [email protected] or call them toll-free at 1-877-210-3782.

My Bose Lifestyle 28 III system is about 2 1/2

A new remote is the simplest and best bet. I know of no way to repair a remote without making it irreparable. Though you might check the infrared LED i the front. Does the light on the remote illuminate when you press a button?(assuming it has that.)

DVD drawer will not open - stuck dvd inside

My only suggestion is to press and hold the eject button for a period of time (15 - 30 seconds). This might unlock the drawer. If not, I would contact Bose Customer Service directly.

Volume will not adjust

First, I would make sure the Mute hasn't been engaged. If that's not the problem, you might try the following: Press System on the LIFESTYLE® remote control. When you see a preview of audio features,
you can press the Enter button to move into the active list of audio options, and select "Input Levels". Once selected, the menu will run through the gamut of all the input levels. I would make sure that each of these levels is set at Normal. Other selections available are -6, -3, +3, and +6, but these are used to match sound levels of other components so when you switch from one input level to another, they are at reasonably the same sound level. navigate select

If your cd is stuck in the Bose you may have to open up the cover any manually remove this disk, make sure not to put it back in. If you are unable to remove this yourself you will need to get some one qualified to do this procedure for you. Be careful not to break anything take your time and put everything back as you took it apart.

Can't hook up my bose system to my logitech

Hi,

From what I found on Giigle searches, it appears you need to buy a converter. Here is one of the links I found where someone gave a review on the remote and is in the same boat as you. But then I found this on Youtube that might help you. This link shows how to set up Logitech Harmony One with Bose Lifestyle 28. I don't know if this is the remote you have but maybe if you follow the steps, it might work.

This next link is the review, see the 2nd review where they talk about needing a converter.

Volume got locked

Hi,

those the player has a reset button, if yes reset to restore the player back to normal.

If no reset button, that means one of the volume on the player is hooked and needs to be released. You can loosen it and check where the volume is and adjust it.

I would advice if you can not loosen the player, it will be better you take it to some who know about electronics to fix it for to prevent further damages.

Take care.
