While the door is closed, try pressing and holding the cancel button for about 10 seconds to see if it will clear.

Wow, that's interesting! I would have guessed the control module (control circuit board) too. But, once upon a time, I encountered a similar situation, and the problem turned out to be the drain pump! It seems like that after the dishwasher ran in the main cycle (where the heater is used to heat up the water), the heat somehow made the drain pump stop working! I don't know if it made the motor wires expand and break a connection, or if the heat made the seals of the motor expand or somehow impeded the free-turning of the motor, but replacing that drain pump fixed the problem! I have experienced the same diverter motor leaking problems. I have the whirlpool gold with the diverter motor (w10155344). I bought the unit new 4 years ago. The fix is remove the the two screws that hold the diverter motor and pull the motor. You will find why its leaking is because the rubber seal was installed up side down from the factory. The seal and motor should have calcium and corrosion build up from all leaking. No need to buy new parts. Clean the rubber seal with CLR very carefully, as you will notice a deep groove that has a spring around the inner part, use a tooth pick to clean the corrosion out of the deep groove. After a thorough cleaning, apply thoroughly with vaseline for rubber velocity, be sure to wipe off excessive vaseline. The diverter motor can be cleaned by separating the clips with out breaking tabs that hold it together, be sure to clean the corrosion off the wire connection and the little board it connects to on motor. When installing the seal, slide it down the motor shaft with the deep groove face down it should slide into the lip at the bottom and seat nicely, be sure to clean that area as well with CLR. Install the motor, be sure to clean with CLR where the shaft goes into the hole. That took care of the problem for me. Thanks

Is that the one with the high-quality slides with ball-bearing glides? If so, then you probably have to replace the bad glide assembly. If it's the kind with the plastic rack adjusters with the plastic wheels, then 1 of the wheel hubs has probably broken, and you would need to replace the adjuster. What light(s) blink? How many times to they blink? Do they blink all the time, or just when you press a key? If it's just 1 light that blinks 3 times whenever you press a key, then you have the child-lock (or control-lock) function turned on. If you look at your control console closely, you should see some key near the lock symbol (frequently the Heated Dry key), with the notation "hold 3 seconds". The cancel light is on because the cycle maybe paused or canceled. The lit red button should say Cancel/Drain. If you already tried to press start and if it won't finish the cycle then try pressing the Cancel/Drain to drain and start over.

If the cycle is done it should open. Try pressing the cancel/drain button.

E22 means no fill or slow fill. Remove your water in hose and check that the screen isn't clogged.
