I went to Konica Minolta's website to look up the 17H error code, and it's telling me to take out and reinstall all the toners. Problem is, two toner colors are showing (black and yellow), and I don't know how to advance them to get any of them out. There's a grinding noise before I see the error code, and the answer guide says that could be the gears on one of the cartridges that doesn't want to move. I removed the waste toner bottle and the drum, but couldn't get any farther than that. Please help!
Open the front door and remove the toner bottle.
Look near the colour toner carts and you will see a small round hole. Jam a screwdriver in that hole and the carousel will rotate freely. Move the carousel round and remove each toner one at a time.

When printing, the first page gets folded twice, horizontally. Quite nicely, but useless for work. The rest of the pages print normally. How can I correct this? There are no error messages other than paper jam from the first (folded) paper. Have checked inside the machine and all the rollers roll, nothing seems excessively worn; there are no bits of flotsam blocking things.
I kept digging until I found some helpful, lucky people that stumbled across a solution. The cost of doing the repair yourself is about $1 for superglue.
I detailed the repair in my blog: http://dlburkhart.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!5BA5F950B86A8BE5!182.entry.
I don't know if that URL will work as a permanent link. So, just in case, the same information is on my business web site on the Tech Tips page: http://www.BurkhartTech.com/Tips.html.
I hope to have helped.
If anyone can use a custom web site, I can really use the work. I left work a couple of years ago to be a stay-at-home dad and to try to start up a web site business. Things started out okay. But the economy soured, all of my business dried up, and now I can't find full time employment.

Just as the tray is about to lift the paper from the tray, something goes wrong and the media jam message appears.
Hey folks! This solution worked for my "media jam tray 1" problem! Just took out paper, pushed down @ back of tray, reloaded paper, and bingo! Now to use some air to blow out any dust.
Thank you

Printing ONLY 1 page of the document when using letter size paper...then windows xp in the printer/fax window says error message. restored factory settings, printed test page. continues to display "size mismatch" on the printer. Changed paper size to legal...ALL WORKS GREAT. Why cant I print letter size documents? Turned the "Auto Continue" off and on..NO difference. Any suggestions?
pleas check the driver settings, maybe there is a setting fit to paper or something.

The display on the printer says MEDIA JAM - TRANSFER ROLLER. The paper gets folded over within the printer and nothing gets printed.
take out all the paper from the loading tray, and press down on the inside of the tray 4 or 5 times, and put a sheet back in. There seems to be a physical irregularity with all 2300DL printers that causes this problem

Just got a new computer and when i installed this printer i am getting a different language in the printing preference. I tried to uninstall it and reinstall it and i tell it i want english but it doesn't give it to me... I have English on the printer itself just not in the printing preferences...any suggestions..thanks
mary
The driver set you have is defaulted to prob Chinese, especially if you have purchased it on line. You can go to the Minolta web page for your country or region and download an english version that is compatable to your language.

does anyone know of any windows 7 drivers? My printer is in perfect condition, seems ridiculous to discard it because I cannot find any drivers for it with windows 7.
Two Minolta 2300DL windows 7 64-bit solutions(choose oneoption): 1) Download the XP 64-bit driver and extract to a folder: ftp://ftp.minolta-qms.com/pub/crc/out_going/windows/2300d_64b.exe then Control Panel>Devices and Printers>Add aprinter> Add a local printer>choose USB printer port>select the "HaveDisk" button(do not select a printer) and browse navigate to where you savedthe XP 64-bit driver "MLUU_DRV.inf" driver file which installs and worksfine. Only issue is now have a 3 minutewait delay for each print job using the universal driver compared to no delaywhen printing with XP. OR 2) Follow the Vista USB port(not network) install guide butstill use the XP 64-bit driver. ftp://ftp.minolta-qms.com/pub/crc/out_going/manuals/misc/km_vista_instruct.pdf 3) 32-bit option use the Vista 32-bit driver first as thatshould work.
