Pull all imaging units out and clean the laser with the wand provided either in tray or on front door.

I take a picture using a screen capture program/app then print the picture. It also make it possible to overlay things such as the (faded) word (COPY) on top or underneath it, if you want. When I use the COPY method, I print the faded word COPY first then re-run the paper through to print the rest

Check the heater element in the fuser assembly, if damaged replace.

Clean the contact of the small electrical contact on the cartridge and where those contacts make contact on the machine normally front of the machine with alcohol. some times hands get oil on the contact so there no good electrical contact, though occasionally you do get a bad cartridge.
