Omega Rangehood not working.
Hello,
One night, my (Omega) range hood also blew with a snap, crackle and pop (flash) also after pressing the light button.
The PCB is charred behind the light switch/toggle thingy.
The PCB is a replaceable part, but out of interest I am curious to learn if I can piggyback the light onto the fan switch.
"Anonymous", at first I thought I may have authored what turned out to be your post.
Many thanks.

Stovetop burner won't light after I turn on the gas.
That is normally caused by the holes in the flame spreaders being full of cooking residue. Put them all except one in a pot of cold water with a teaspoon or washing up liquid, Bring very slowly to a simmer. Watch it because it will immediately want to boil over. Remove from the heat and drop the remaining spreader in. Leave them to cool. Scrub them with a plastic post brush, making sure the holes are clean all the way through. Rinse and leave to dry.
Or your gas has been turned off? Does the oven work?

How to clean stains on the Russell Hobbs 2 Plate Mini
To clean stains on the Russell Hobbs 2 Plate Mini, you can follow these steps:
- Turn off and unplug the mini stove to ensure your safety.
- Allow the plates to cool down completely before cleaning.
- Make a solution of equal parts of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle.
- Spray the stained areas with the vinegar and water solution.
- Let the solution sit for a few minutes to break down the stain.
- Wipe the plates with a soft cloth or sponge, applying gentle pressure.
- For stubborn stains, sprinkle baking soda on the plates and scrub gently with a sponge or brush.
- Wipe the plates clean with a damp cloth and let them air dry completely before using the mini stove again.
Note: Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scrubbers as they may scratch the surface of the plates. Also, avoid using harsh chemicals that may damage the surface or the heating elements of the mini stove.

I have a Broan Allure range hood and the left light is broken inside
To replace the broken light on your Broan Allure range hood, you will need to follow these steps:
- Turn off the power to the range hood by unplugging it or turning off the circuit breaker.
- Remove the filters by gently pulling them down and then out of the range hood.
- Locate the light cover and remove it by pulling it towards you.
- Use a screwdriver to remove the screws that are holding the light assembly in place.
- Carefully pull the light assembly out of the range hood.
- Replace the broken light bulb and ensure that it is securely in place.
- Reinsert the light assembly into the range hood and tighten the screws.
- Reattach the light cover by pushing it back into place.
- Replace the filters by pushing them back up into the range hood.
- Turn on the power to the range hood and test the new light to ensure it is working properly.
Note: If the light assembly is wobbly, you may need to tighten the screws that hold it in place or replace any damaged parts.

Kitchen Aid convection oven doesn't reach pre-heating set temperature
There are a few other things you can try to troubleshoot this issue:
- Check the oven gasket: If the gasket around the oven door is worn or damaged, it could be letting heat escape from the oven, which can prevent it from reaching the desired temperature.
- Check the oven igniter: If the oven igniter is faulty, it may not be able to draw enough current to ignite the gas and heat the oven. You can test the igniter with a multimeter to see if it is working properly.
- Check the oven thermostat: The thermostat regulates the temperature inside the oven. If it is faulty, it may not be able to maintain the desired temperature. You can test the thermostat with a multimeter to see if it is working properly.
- Check the control board: The control board regulates the oven's heating elements and can be a source of problems if it is faulty. You can test the control board with a multimeter to see if it is working properly.
If none of these solutions work, it may be best to call a professional technician to diagnose and fix the problem.
