The microsoft office trial period is over but once
hi..
- see, microsoft office is given the trail version only, not a full version
- If full version they give it to you means if you update it and enter such key it accept it..
- But its a trail version only, so leave that ,un-install it..
- download the latest version of MS-Office and enter the product whatever they given in that file..
- It will be used for a long period
- otherwise, you have to update the trail version in Internet, they may ask any charge also..
- try it ,that too...
- but My suggestion is to leave that , download a new version of full MS-Office...
- go to "filehippo" website or go to "amderforum.com"
- If it's useful for you means plz rate me the 4 Thumbs ....

How many years can I get out of my laptop
That will depend on how much you use it and treat it ? Toshiba's line of Satellite PC laptops offers a variety of screen s that are customizable when ordered online. The laptops offer built-in webcams and backlit keyboards. Most Toshiba Satellite laptops use six-cell lithium-ion batteries that can last up to six hours. To reach that six-hour mark, you can use several tricks to maximize your battery's capacity. Charge your battery completely before its first use. Check your user manual for the exact charging time required, which is typically at least 12 hours. Discharge your battery completely every two months. Allow it to drain fully before recharging it. Recharge it completely, for at least 12 hours before using it again. Remove CDs and DVDs from your laptop's drive when not in use. These drives spin when loaded, which can drain your battery unnecessarily. Set your laptop to hibernate mode when you need to take a break. This conserves more power than standby. Store your laptop battery in a cool place. Never let the battery sit in direct sunlight or leave it in your car on a hot day. For even longer battery life, remove the battery from the laptop which can get hot while in use when you are plugged in. Turn off your Wi-Fi connection when not in use. Constantly searching for a Wi-Fi connection can drain your battery faster. Work in only one program at a time. The more programs you have open, the faster your battery will drain. Unplug any USB devices, especially those that charge when plugged in, such as your cellphone. These will drain your battery quickly. Dim your Satellite's screen to conserve battery. Hold down your "Fn" key and tap "F6" several times to dim the screen. The "F6" key should show an open circle with small lines radiating out, to symbolize a dim display.Hope this helps. b>

My computer shows no signs of powering up, but makes a ticking sound when the ac adaptor is plugged in
Try another Cord/charger first.( Beware of Cheap aftermarket cord/chargers/transformers!) The ticking , where is it comming from? Can you locate the origin of the ticking? The HDD, when it's bad, will try to spin-up and you will here a clicking/ticking. If the ticking is coming from the Cord/charger/transformer replace. I bought a spare, universal with plug adapters, for $50.00. Bad charger/transformers CAN be a fire hazzard, if left plug in unattended. Always unplug laptop when unattended, that is if you don't already.

I got the network but cannot connect to
Check to see that the network is actually getting data. If no other machine can connect to the internet through the same network, then it's a problem at the router or the source. If other machines can connect, cut your wifi off and on again, and try again. If you've been on this network before, but now can't get anything, you might need to delete the profile for the network and re-create it -- network profiles corrupt from time to time.

I downloaded some windows updates since then my computer has had a black screen with the pointer in middle
If you can restart the computer in Safe Mode - as soon as you power on, hit F8 or F5 immediately, and hit it repeatedly until it gives you the Windows Startup Menu. Then choose Safe Mode, and if your system will get into Safe Mode, then use Add/Remove software, or if you're using Win 78 or Vista, use Programs and Features, and uninstall all the applications you recently installed. If you can do that, and get rid of all the new items, then try to start into normal Windows and see if that fixed the problem. If it did, then my advice is to reevaluate all the new applications that you did install before this went south on you, and decide what you really need. Then install only one at a time. Restart yor computer and if all is well, think about those new apps and what you really need.Remember, Needs versus Wants. Needs are the things which are necessary to make your PC work better, faster, etc. and Wants are those things not necessary, but "nice to have" apps. They might conflict with your system and bring it down again.Cheers!-a.
