Write protect

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

My camera will not load on my computer, it will on

This sounds like when the drivers were installed they were installed with the option of "just this user" instead of all or any users. You can try running the install software again and switch it if it lets you. If not you will need o uninstall it then re install with all users selected. That should get you and everyone else working.

Will not allow me to

From another posted solution:

Write protection is a physical device that prevents you from writing or changing information on a disc. For digital cameras this is usually a "lock" slider on SD cards. Try sliding it to the other side if your getting an error.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Get pictures from camera to computer without

you would have to have a usb connection from your camera to your pc. If you did not get one with the camera you will have to buy one. Try this link http://www.partmaster.co.uk/cgi-bin/home.pl

I got a usb cable from them next day delivery. They seem to have spares for just about everything
