First, restart the computer and printer to see if that resolves the issue. If not, go to "devices and printers" in the Control Panel. Right click on the printer and select "Use Online". If that option is not available, is this a network attached printer? If so, your router may have assigned a new IP address to the printer. Follow the printer manual on how to find the IP address using the keys on the printer. Then change the printer port settings in your computer to match the IP address.

Try to clean the encoder strip inside the printer,open the cover and clean it with your finger gently.hope it works
