You need to run a cycle with a dishwasher cleaner inside, you can get these from the same place you get your dishwasher powder from, Before you run the cleaner through remove the filters from the bottom of the machine and place these in the rack, run through the hottest cycle with these filters in the racks and the dishwasher cleaner in place, this will clean the dishwasher properly and assist with correct draining and the odour, if the dishwasher is sitting for long periods unused leave the door open slightly to allow it to dry out.

Hello, This dishwasher has the ability to be mounted to the cabinets on either side of the dishwasher.the mounting brackets can be moved to each side. If it must be mounted to the counter top, the mounting tabs can be bent by hand and it will break the front part of the mounting tab. This will shorten the mounting bracket. If you have granite counter tops do not attempt to drill into to the granite counter call a granite fabicator. The leveling feet are hexagon shaped at the top of the of the leveling leg. Remove the front lower toe kick panel. This will allow access to the top of the leveling legs, then use a small cresent wrench or a socket and rachet.Hope this helps.Joe Connolly

The ER error code means the touchpad is defective..sometimes that can be just a loose ribbon cable connection to control board. or if that seems tight the touchpad which is part of the console should be replaced

If you have hard water glasses can look spotted and cloudy even after cleaning. Sometimes changing the dishwasher detergent can help. The easiest solution to clearing up glasses that start to look cloudy is to add some vinegar to the bottom of the dishwasher before you start a cycle. Simply add 1/4 of white vinegar and it will clear up your glasses very well.
You should see marked improvement after the first time you do this. If they are not crystal clear then simply repeat the process until all of the cloudiness is gone. In fact I recommend to using a little vinegar in each cycle to maintain the clarity of the glass.
Note: you can pre-test this by rubbing some vinegar on an individual glass with a cloth. If you cannot remove the cloudiness by soaking it and rubbing vinegar on it then it is possible that the glass is etched due to harsh or cheap dishwasher detergent and vinegar will not solve the problem.
We have a new dishwasher,
Its sounds as though your water harness is very high.
You have to add salt into the salt dispenser and set the machine for the "hardness" value in your area.
Your water company can tell you how hard the water is.
With the correct setting on the machine it will release salt to soften the water.
The salt you need is not cooking salt but one for a dishwasher available from supermarket.

No matter what brand of rinse aid I use, there's
Hello, W/D here.
We've had the same problem, and here's what we did to solve it.
Clean the dishwasher as best as possible. Place t cups of vinegar in the bottom of the tub, and run a hot cycle. The vinegar helps kill and remove the scum that can build up in the sump of the tub. If the spray arms are clogged, you can remove the debris with a paperclip or toothpick. (Check and do that regularly anyway).
Cut back on the detergent as far as you can, while still getting the dishes clean. I know this sounds a bit odd, but the amount of recommended soap is based on the dirtiest dishes, and the worst water possible. We rinse the major food particles off of our dishes before loading, so dried on food stuffs isn't an issue. We have cut our detergent to about 25% of the recommended amount, and the dishes still get very clean. We put a sprinkle on the door, a sprinkle in the dispenser cup, and close it up.
The detergent itself is abrasive, and can leave deposits on the dishes, most noticeably on the glassware. Cutting the amount of detergent, and using a good drying agent helps a lot.
Over a period of several cycles, the quality of the wash will improve. Don't expect to get to 25% of the amount of detergent right away. Cut it to 50% to start with, and adjust the amount based on your own observations.
Hope that this helped you. Best regards, --W/D--

Dishwasher does not drain.
Hello,
Everyone
expects their dishwasher will work correctly. They can become
nonchalant about it until one day it does not function. Sometimes the
dishwasher doesn't drain as expected. Most people immediately call the
plumber when their dishwasher doesn't work. There are several things
you can try at home before having to pay an expensive service fee.
Instructions And what You Need
-
Check
the basics. Make sure that the dishwasher has actually finish the
cycle. Your dishwasher will not drain until the end of the cycle. Many
things may have interrupted the cycle. Check circuit breaker and reset
it if appropriate. Also check the fuse. It is possible that you could
have tripped a circuit have way through the cycle. Make sure the door
is properly closed. Ensure you have chosen a cycle on the dishwasher.
It is amazing the problems children could accidentally cause, that are
easy fixes.
-
Remove
any excess food at the bottom of the dishwasher. The best way to do
this is with your hands. Large food particles can block from going into
the drain. This is also another extremely easy fix to make your
dishwasher to drain.
-
Check
to ensure that the hoses are still attached. Use your manual to find
where the hoses are. If they are not attached the owner's manual will
give you instructions on how the attach the hoses to your specific
dishwasher.
-
Attempt
to declog the line. Disconnect the hose from under your sink and check
to see if there are any clogs. Use a hanger or towels, remove the clog
from the hose.
- Remove
the dishwasher basket. Again refer to your owner's manual for specific
instructions.Normally you will remove it with a screwdriver. Make sure
to work slowly. As you take the basket apart, you will be able to see
if it needs to be cleaned. If there is dirt or debris, you can clean
the parts with a rag or paper towel. After cleaning these parts, you
can replace the basket.
Good luck and thanks for for using fixya.
