Hope this helps... i would try contacting them first, and see if they can help you with a simpler way to recover your password or change. so you dont lose any data, or run into any more tech. issues with your product.

if you dont chose that rout; well unless you can remember what your password their really isn't a true hack around it to be able to safe the data on it. how ever i can tell you how to make it where you can use it again without the password.
note: if you chose to go this method it will no longer ask you for a password when you try to view the files, and you will lose all data on your drive. It sitl will be usable, )

I will how ever leave in the instructions on how to reinstall the v-chip password protection thing back to the drive but I don't guarantee that part of this process, but i do on the format of the flash drive.

Plug your USB Drive into your computer, then go to:

Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Computer Management

Then once in the Computer Management Window look on the left under "Storage" and click the + to expand.

Find your USB drive on the list to the right.

If you right click the drive on the list, you'll have several options including the option to format it.

I've found that sometimes this works better then just right-clicking the drive from the My Computer area as you have more options.

(at this point the flash drive should be operation, it just wont ask for passwords anymore. EVER. tell u do the next step.)

then you can reinstall the passowrd thing software at

I would try reloading the Store 'n' Go application and see if it helps.... You can download it here....

Where do i install the adapter on my computer

Hello,

You plug the device into power and install a USB cable to the back of the device, then you plug the other end into your computer's USB Slot.

Windows will probley install the drivers for you but if not put the CD your manufacture gave you.

After installation you will see the device as a hard drive under My Computer it may also be called a Mas storage device or Removable Media

Give that a try, it should work for you.

Cannot be refprmatted to 2GB

Hi Jan,

Without the exact model type I can't give you the exact info you need, but verbatim does have some utilities available on their website. I'll paste a link to the Store'n'go download page at the bottom of my comments for you. Click on it and then find the model that looks like your(colour is irrelevant, just shape). Click on the matching one and it will take you to a more detailed page with 1 or 2 utilities for thaqt series. Once their you can download them and attempt to repair it. If you get stuck comment back here letting me know which series you have, which utilities you have tried and what results/error messages you get and I may be able to offer some more insight.

RE: Files messed up on flash drive

That means the file has been messed up during transport of some time when it was not being used if you smart enough to have a back up file or two copies of that file just copy and paste or save twice again.
