Vga hook up

may need to tell the laptop in the screen resolution settings to display the image on the tv instead of the laptop. Right click on the empty desktop of the laptop and go to either propertie or screen resolution and then make sure that the computer can see that the tv is hooked up and that the image is showing on the tv instead of the laptop. You may also need to change the mode on the tv to vga.

I HAVE A SD-532HD5 RED LIGHT STAY ON....IT USE TO TURN OFF BY ITSELF ONE DAY IT WENT OFF AND NEVER CAME BACK ON ......THERE IS A RED LIGHT ON THE POWER BOARD

This model and others close to it have all sorts of soldering problems on the power board----fixed a lot of them by removal of power board and aside from fuses solder the ENTIRE board--every connection---bad connections develop with age and heat.

Pioneer SD-532HD5 Projection Screen TV won't turn back on.

the problem with pioneer projection tvs is that when they made the boards they never used enough solder for the circuits and you get cracks in the runs. thats why heat and cold will effect it. I had the same problem and I took out the board and resoldered every track I could and it works good now but my remote wont work if anyone has any info or prints to this tv please post on here

I have a Piomeer SD

Hi,

The problem is with the convergence IC's and repairing it would cost you up to $300.

If you would like to make this DIY project, you'll need some electronic experience, basic tools, and voltmeter, time and some good soldering skills. The repair manual should also be something you have.

If the TV is more than 5 - 7 years old, then
I would suggest you to get another one if you are not on a tight budget.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I NEED TO REPLACE THE SCREEN ON MY SD532HD5. DOES

Sorry it a lost cause these DLP tvs are no longer in productions. If even it still in productions, the tvs picture screens panels are 90% important to the tvs and most of the cost of the tvs.The only place u can buy a tvs picture screens panels are the tvs industries themselves. They'll sell it to u,but they'll charges u the same prices as a new tvs.The tvs Techs.policies are tvs that have bad picture screens panels or a broken picture screens panels are those tvs are now, only can be used as salvages tvs for it tvs electronic boards for spare parts, that it.The tvs now are not worth as a whole tvs anymore.

Color ghosting or shadows

The most likely cause is shorted convergence chips and possibly a few pico fuses.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony,Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer2_bing.gif Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get a convergenece repair kit with instructions from the links below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

Problem #1) Convergence

Yours may have one or more of the following symptoms...

*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound

Problem #2
Another common problem is dull or washed out video.

Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....

*Dull looking picture
*White looking picture
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking picture

You can see some more examples and find a fix herebb0cf99.png http://www.fixya.com/support/r2861467-solution_video_looking_whiteish_dull

I HAVE A PIONEER 50' TV AND THE TV REPAIR MAN

YOU need to have the original Pioneer remote to do this--I do not understand if someone fixed and you had the remote why he did not adjust it?

With the Pioneer remote you go into the customer menu and adjust convergence--most also have a TECH menu for this but you still need the remote and a code to get into this--REMOTES FOR THESE SETS ARE HARD TO FIND AND EXPENSIVE.

Let me know if you have questions--I am here to help.

If this helped you, rate this solution as I do this here for FREE.
