I have exactly the same problem. Normally it is one of the fuses on the power supply board but this time all fuses are ok. Let me know if you get a fix.

CDJ1000 Mk1 & Mk2's need to be sent to Pioneer or Videotec for firmware updates, Mk3's software can be update from CD. Visit the Pioneer website for the file (to burn to disc) and instructions.

Seems that the switch under the Cue button is dirty, or broken.

1st check to see if any paper or labels are jamming the mechanism, if not them the main cam is known to cause problems.

I don't personally use iTunes but I understood that they were AAC format not MP3 - have you converted them 1st?.

I've repaired similar faults in the past and the problem has been foreign objects stuck inside the mechanism - usually pieces of paper / labels that have come off CD's.
Moral of the story - write on your CDr's with a marker pen, DON'T put on sticky labels.

On mk2's zener diode (D1221 - surface mount on JFLB / center display pcb) quite often goes short circuit and blows fuse / circuit protector IC106 - N10 400mA rating

The flexi pcb that connects the top chassis / pcb to the bottom chassis pcb is known to crack and become intemittent

im only spreading the word due it i had my decks fixed their and i am so pleased im telling everyone so they can get the same service i did, rather than paying over the odds at some **** toster repair shop.

cue button sticking sounds like the button on the pcu board needs replaced, I would clean all the foam stuff of if possible, as for the screen not working sound like some of your wires have come unconnected easy fixed just plug them back on to the pcu board

removed top cover and there is a power supply that you will see on the top left side of the main chassic, check f1 fuse as that may be bad.The complete power supply board part number is DWR1344

Hi,

Underneath the player there's a small tool (pin).
In the front there's a hole for this pin, it will release your CD.
If there's isn't a pin, use a hairpin.
