Have you tried cleaning it? Use a DVD/CD cleaning CD. If it still skips, take it to a service center for a professional cleaning and/or diagnosis.

It must be reseted. Try unplug power for ten minutes and replug. If no result check if you can remove its internal small battery and refit.

Nope. There are no input connections on the DZ1200. However, you can use programs like Serato, CUE, TRAKTOR, or PCDJ, and you can keep your music on your computer/hard drive, and control with the DZ1200 via specially coded CDs.

I had the same problem. Replacing the sensor is not gonna help. it is a focus problem. I had to fold a small piece of paper and put it under the sensor to raise it up alittle then you screw it in. The size of the paper you will have to figure out for yourself, but it will help u fix your problem

You might need to have it professionally cleaned / diagnosed. The problem might not be a dirty reader, but a misaligned tray. Many trays, over time, become misaligned. Some more than others. Depends on your use and abuse of the unit. The issues generally happen towards the end of the tracks.

Hi,

Offhand, the double springs are already installed inside the Audio Insulator (Foot).

Should they have been disassembled, it is sandwiched between the bottom part and the top with the threaded portion. Some versions are held in place by a circlip.

There are special circlip pliers used to remove and install them.

Mounting the Audio Insulator (Foot) is a matter of threading it to each corner of the unit. There would be appropriate embedded nuts to accept them on the bottom. The threads also serve as an adjustment to even/balance the CD/DJ player.

Found a video on a web site "how to remove the platter". It's a job which does'nt need a lot of skill just great care and patience. Within the video the guy will show the senors inside the platter itself. This is wear I found a huge build up dust which I blew off with a can of air. It's not a proffensional video but I found it very easy to follow. Unfortunate for though upon putting the deck back together again I've caused more damage with my clumsy haevy handed inpatience! After looking inside the deck (as long as you have no warranty left) you will see it is not that difficult and as a tip you can disconnect the lines of flat wires as they plug into the circuit board and are not soldered in. No soldering required to fix this. The guy who made this video deserves a lot of credit due to the fact he can save many of these decks from going to the bin! If I was rich and famous I would award him an Enviromental Gong.

i had same problem, just took mine back and exchanged for new one. however i'm having a similar problem again. i tried polish to make it more slippy, and tried cleaning under grey platter, but now i've made it worse, and i get a clicking sound when my cd's are playing. any technics dealer should be able to get it serviced for you.

adjust the fucos variable of the lens use little screw look under the lens.

Could be one channel has failed in the amplifier caused by 40 year old components failing. Could be a shorted speaker lead, damaging the amplifier. Job to say without seeing it on the work bench with test gear.

I would check the weight and allignment.

Were you expecting an electronic powered unit to work without power ... No power = No output.

Question edited for spelling and add some SPACES! Did you look for bulging electrolytic capacitors? If you can't see any, then you need to take it to a service centre, as they have thousands of dollars of test equipment and access to parts. ..

Probably dirty contacts in the tone control section.
