Technics 940dx "overload"
Disconnect all speaker wires from the back of the receiver and turn it back on. If overload does not turn on, post a comment and I can walk you thru troubleshooting. If it does, your receiver needs to be serviced. Hope this helps

Fan not running on reciever
The fan only runs when the volume control is turned up to a predetermined "high" power level.

Can i hookup a television to my receiver for sound
Yes. You can hook it up using a digital coax or optical cable. Use can also use old stereo, analog, left and right channel audio. Use any audio input on your Technics, that will accept any of the inputs above.

Erratic volume on Technics SU-X911 amplifier (Class A)
its the ic that controls the + and - voltage and there are capacitors that have leaked all the caps on that board need changing could be expensive and time consuming but its the age of it . if i was going to do that job £200 plus\
