Technics su-v96 turns on, but makes a clickin noise 3-4 times and then no sound. Its still lit up but nothing from any input. What is wrong with the unit?

if you open the panel look around for some blown fuses. be sure to unplug the receiver before and let it sit because there are two capacitors in there that hold a lethal charge of electricity. it could be a fuse but most likely its dead. probably a transformer or amp failure.

Sounds like the gear that rotates the cd tray it stripped. Another possibility it that the lithium grease is drying which with make it stick. You can fix it that’s the problem, unplug it, take the cover off and use q tips to wipe off the dry grease and using q tips put some new lithium grease on the gears. Very lightly and don’t get cotton stuck in there

Sorry to disagree but obviously everything has not been checked or the faulty internal component(s) or break(s) in the circuitry would have been discovered and replaced or repaired...

How to connect a powered subwoofer to technics receiver

If your receiver has a subwoofer output, then it is simple. run an RCA cable from the subwoofer out on the receiver to the input on the powered subwoofer. If the subwoofer out is only a single plug then you can use a Y adapter. But, most powered subwoofers will work with only one side plugged in. Try that and if it's not working right.. then get the Y adapter.
