How to remove admin password if we forgot it

Usually, we can reset Windows admin password in two traditional ways. The first is to change Windows password with another admin account; the second is to recover the previous password with the windows password reset disk that had been created before you forgot the password. Take Windows XP for example, At the Windows XP login prompt when the password is entered incorrectly click the reset button in the login failed window. Insert the password reset diskette into the computer and click Next. If the correct diskette Windows XP will open a window prompting for the new password you wish to use.
However, we offen ignore the important of security until we have been locked out of computer. Fortunately, there is still the last way that can unlock your computer without reinstalling – erase Windows password with Windows password reset CD, which can recover admin password for Windows 7/XP/Vista/NT/2000/2003…. Take Windows Password Key for example, followings are the steps to create the reset CD/DVD.
1.Login to a computer that can link to Internet. Download windows Password key and install it on that PC. Note that: there is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to a CD or a USB flash drive.
2. Insert the newly created CD/USB drive to the locked computer.

3. Reboot the locked computer and press'F2'or'Delete'to enter your BIOS setup and then followed the process of instructions. Just a few steps, the old password was removed.

Logon Change

Enable Log-On Screen

Windows, by default, is set to show the Welcome screen during startup.

To enable the log-on screen to show, go to "Start" menu and select "Control Panel".

In the control panel, click on "User Accounts".

In the "User Accounts" dialog-box, click "Change the way users log on or off" and uncheck the "Welcome Screen" option.

Click "Apply Options" to save the changes.

Change Log-On Screen Background Color

To change the log-on screen background color, go to the "Start" menu and click on "Run".

In the run dialog-box, type "mspaint" as the name of the program to "Open".

Click on "OK". In the "Paint" window that opens, select "Colors" from the main menu and click on "Edit Colors". In the "Edit Colors" dialog-box, select "Define custom colors".

Here pick the color of your choice and note down the "Red", "Green" and "Blue" values.

Write down these values somewhere.

Click "Cancel" and close the paint window without saving. Now, go to the "Start" menu, click "Run" and enter "regedit" as the name of the program to "Open".

In the registry editor, navigate to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\CONTROL PANEL\COLORS and double-click the "Background" string.

In the "Edit String" dialog-box that opens up, change the values in the "Value data" field to the red, green and blue color values that you wrote down (e.g. 75 78 173).

The default value will be 0 78 152. Enter the values in the correct red-green-blue order, separated by a space. Close the registry editor and log off to see the changes.

Put Image in Log-On Screen Background To put your favorite picture in the background of the log-on screen, click "Start", then "Run", and type in "regedit". In the registry editor, navigate to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\CONTROL PANEL\DESKTOP and double-click the string "Wallpaper". In the "Edit String" dialog-box that opens up, enter the full path and filename of the image that you want to use as the background. The image must be in .bmp format. Click "OK" and close the registry editor. Log off to see the changes. hope this helps
