You have to format a hard drive with a third party disk unless its a usb data drive Restart your computer During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS then using the arrow keys navigate to advanced bios features press enter change your first boot device to cd press escape then press f10 to save to cmos restart note this will erase you operating system you will have to have an operating system disk to load it onto you hard drive or create a partition to load another operating system note after you have loaded the operating system you should go back and change the first boot device to failsafe or optimised defaults after windows has loaded your computer will automatically restart it might restart 2 times one to finish the installation the next will be because the operating system is loaded and will boot from your cd during the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS using the arrow keys load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart The BIOS is AMI. Switch ON the PC, boot the PC in 'Safe Mode' by continuously tapping F8 button after you switch On until you get the Safe Mode Option. Let windows boot in Safe Mode and log in to windows. Go to 'Start'--->Programs--->Accessories--->System Tools--->Click 'System Restore'
A 'System Restore' window will appear. Here you will have to check "Restore computer to an earlier time' and click Next
Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to the previous month by clicking the '<' sign in the upper left hand corner of the Month Calendar and select any date that you see in Bold.
Note: It is better if you could remember from which date you are facing the issue, try to select a date prior to that date.
The detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.
Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a reboot. After reboot your problem should be resolved.
