Where can I find a battery door replacement? Mine is cracked.

It will be difficult to get but tray a camera shop as they may have access to parts failing that I see a new product on the market where you place a small amount of liquid on the broken edges and then apply an ultraviolet light to send it of and it makes a perfect weld the whole thing is about the size of a small torch and according to the ad it works well it is a product from your country so you should have the adds running

Is it possible the cord to the computer and camera is no longer working?

It's certainly possible that the cable has gone bad. It's also possible that the socket on the camera has failed. You can take the memory card out of the camera and read that directly. Card readers are quite inexpensive, and that may be even faster than plugging the camera in.

Dimage camera unable to use card

What type and size memory card are you trying to use? The Z1 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher capacity SDHC cards, even though they fit into the slot.

Keep getting error message when I plug usb into computer to download pictures

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Minolta card says locked. What do I do?

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I have a Konica minolta

The Z1 uses SD cards, which top out at 2GB. SDHC cards do not work with this camera, as you've already found out.

I bought 4GB SD card

Your camera came out in 2003, before SDHC cards were invented. Chances are, the 4G card you're trying to use is not an SD but an SDHC card and won't work in your camera.

Unable to format the memory

Possible there are corrupt files or the card is infected with virus that prevents it to be detected in your PC. Also if the PC is having virus in the OS then it can show such an error.
You must try to see if the card is detected on another PC to confirm or check with another card on your PC.Only if detected can the card be formatted.
copy and then delete off all files before formatting
