Taking black-white photo film class-need manual
Minolta (now KonicaMinolta) have stopped supporting cameras, and as this product is quite old they do not have an official downloadable manual on their limited support site.
Your best approach may be to join the Minolta enthusiasts group on Yahoo! Groups, available at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/minolta/
I am told they have an archive of older manuals scanned in by fellow members, but am unable to advise exactly which models this archive comprises.
Hope this is of help to you, and good luck in your course.

I have a Minolta Maxxum 450si with several lens.
My best assumption would be Sony DSLRs since Konica/Minolta's camera division was acquired by Sony. I believe Sony is using Konica/Minolta lens mount for their DSLR line.

I'm looking for informationon the Minolta motor drive 1
The round one is the secondary operating button. The markings are on (white) and off (red). This is used for easier operating of the camera while holding it vertically.
You can find the whole manual with google search 'minolta motor drive 1'.

I have a minolta x-300 and the shutter won't
'B' settings and other long exposure settings on electronically controlled shutters are always the death knell for a nearly exhausted battery. The X-300 is totally reliant on batteries to power the shutter and so the shutter lock-up is cured simply by replacing the batteries with fresh ones. For consistently accurate exposures use two silver oxide SR44 cells instead of cheaper lithium alkaline LR44 cells which have an unstable voltage.
Don't leave it too long though as the shutter can stick if left this way for too long.
A pdf manual for your camera is at the following address:-

Film Advance won't work on Minolta X-700
changing the batteries have no effect on film transport, just a coincidence. take the bottom cover off and check the white plastic gear on the film take up side of the camera. if it is broken your X700 may not be repairable as no new parts are available.
push the re-wind button in and try to charge the shutter again. remove film first. if it still just goes part way then a gear is stripped. try to find a camera repair shop that may have good used parts available.

I have a Minolta Dynax 600si Classic.
5.665v is definitely too low and so the battery should be your prime suspect.
A new battery with a nominal voltage of 6v should read a little higher than 6v when new.
Hope I've helped, if so please return the favour by rating my answer although you might want to wait until after you get that battery!

When i took pictures at christmas i used fiji film
There are 2 things to check.
First: Put in a cheap film and just press the shutter while the back of the camera is open to see if the film is advancing.
Second: Try pressing the shutter while there is no film in the camera and the back is open to see if the shutters are working correctly.

You can try Ritz camera or ebay,i doubt if there are any new ones available. however they were well made so you should be able to find a good used one.

Used camera with no manual. cannot understand how to properly use the XG-7
My condolences on your loss. I hope you have fond memories of him every time you use the camera.
The owner's manual can be downloaded at http://ca.konicaminolta.com/support/manuals/film-cameras/film_mf_slr/xg_7/xg_7_manual.pdf
It takes S-76 silver batteries which are pretty easy to find. Check Radio Shack or a similar store.
You can use any MD mount lenses. Minolta's lens brand is Rokkor, but you may find others with a compatible mount too.
Film loading, advance & rewind are manual. So is film speed setting. There's a semi-auto exposure mode "A" to help simplify shooting while you learn the rest.
The manual is pretty good & has lots of pics of the various dials. Much easier reading than many current ones. Get a few rolls of cheap film & have fun!

Cleaning and maintenance for minolta x370s
a fine camera for a student learning photography.
pull up the rewind knob to open the film door, using a soft brush clean the film chamber and takeup spool area don't touch the shutter. a q- tip for the finder. take off the lens and clean with soft tissue the front and back lens. unless the mirror is really dusty don't touch it. remove the battery and clean the contacts if needed. you can clean the camera body with a soft cloth.

there are two tiny mirrors behind the name plate, remove the lens and then the two small screws holding the name plate on. pull the plate off and try to find one of the mirrors that fell off. they are glued on but most often the top one falls off.
You may have to shake the camera facing it down. eventually it will get into the mechanism and jamb the camera.
if it did not fall out, take the screws off the bottom cover, remove to see if it fell to there. when found use contact cement to reglue the mirror back onto the mirror holder. the holder is just in front of the prism.

Shutter stopped working
If the metering lights go out when you press the shutter release fully down, then the camera needs the shutter capacitors replaced. If they stay on, it could be the release magnets on the shutter unit itself, or worse.

Film won't load on Vectis 300 MinoIta
The clue is in your descrition; Old.
If the mechanism has jammed, due to age or lack of use that causes tarnisg=hing on the contacts, the motor/mechanism will not load.
I would get it serviced at an aurgorised Minolta repair shop.
Contact Minolta for a list of authorised repairers.

I tried to use a 16GB PNYcard in my picture fram and it would not work. It said "No Card" on the screen. What's the answer?
If your picture frame is not recognizing the 16GB PNY card and displaying a "No Card" message, there could be several reasons for this issue:
- Compatibility: Some picture frames may have limitations on the size or type of memory card they can accept. Ensure that the picture frame is compatible with SDHC or SDXC cards, as these are the types commonly used for higher-capacity cards like 16GB.
- File System: Check if the memory card is formatted in a compatible file system such as FAT32 or exFAT. Some picture frames may not recognize cards formatted in other file systems. You may need to format the card using a compatible file system on your computer before using it in the picture frame.
- Card Reader Slot: Ensure that the memory card is inserted correctly into the card reader slot of the picture frame. Sometimes, improper insertion can prevent the device from detecting the card.
- Card Compatibility: While SDHC and SDXC cards are generally backward-compatible with devices that support SD cards, some older picture frames may have limited compatibility with higher-capacity SD cards. Try using a lower-capacity SD card (e.g., 2GB or 4GB) to see if the picture frame recognizes it.
- Faulty Card or Picture Frame: If none of the above solutions work, there may be an issue with either the memory card or the picture frame itself. Try using the memory card in a different device to check if it's functioning correctly. Similarly, try using a different memory card in the picture frame to see if it's able to recognize it. If the problem persists, there may be a hardware issue with either the card or the picture frame, and you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance or consider replacing the faulty component.
By following these troubleshooting steps, you should be able to determine the cause of the issue and resolve it accordingly.
