Minolta Maxxum 70 QD 35mm SLR Camera Questions & Answers
I dont know what batteries
The Maxxum 70 uses two 3V CR2 lithium batteries.
The Maxxum 70 can use almost any 35mm film. Color prints, color slides, black-and-white prints. Do NOT use Polaroid instant film or infrared film.
If you need a manual, you can download one at

I have a Minolta DYNAX 5xi camera but no card, card reader or film. Please tell me where I can buy these?
Cards are action cards to do special things and are avalable on ebay And some dx lessons on the dx code and how you can make your own codes for non dx coded film.https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-film-DX-code-labels/https://www.markushartel.com/blog/learn-from-markus/trick-the-dx-sensorhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DX_encodingAnd buying dx coded film that might or might not be expired:https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=35mm+dx+film&rt=nc&_dcat=4201&_sacat=4201&vbn_id=7023352185&LH_ItemCondition=1000&_fsrp=1Hopes this helps a little. It is a fine camera and I wish everything would be like the minolta brand , the computer does a lot and i still like to have a mirror in my camera. Enjoy the fun of REAL photos not digital. I wish you and your loved ones joy this Christmas season. Your friend, Kevin

Film cartage broke missing parts
To repair this camera will be well over $100; my opinion not worth it. You would be better served purchasing another camera of the same type from ebay. An alternative terrific camera is the Pentax K1000, better yet K1000 SE. The SE has a split viewfinder, easy to focus. The K1000 have microprism that are more difficult to focus with especially in lower light; need good eyes. Then there is the Pentax K2, that at the time was their top of the line camera. All three cameras can be purchased for about $100-ish. Most will come with the Pentax 50mm f/2.0 lens.

Minolta x500 shutter arm stuck
A Minolta X500 is a 15+ year old camera. The shutter arm is stuck in the winding position is an indication that the shutter mechanics are broken. Repair would be way more expensive then picking up a used model. Minolta has dropped out of the camera business, some older Sony digital cameras can use their lenses if you have a number of them. Zoom lenses are usually what comes with most camera kits.
