I own a Minolta 7000

If it's a Minolta Maxxum 7000, it should automatically rewind the film when finished with the roll. To manually rewind the film, open the card door on the right side of the camera and press the rewind button. Open the back cover by pressing the button in the center of the back-cover release and sliding the release downward.

You can download the manual from

I have an older Minolta 50mm AF lens that sticks

Having been there with an older Minolta lens, I'd guess the lubrication on the iris has thickened to the point that the leaves are sticking open (normal position except during time when shutter is open). Time to find a local Minolta/Sony authorized repair shop and have it cleaned and lubricated.

Can I use MD lenses on my Minolta 5D or do I need

The two lens mount systems are incompatible.

You can find adapters on ebay (listed as MD to MA or MD to Dynax) but they come in two varieties:-
The first is a straight converter, it allows the MD lens to attach to your camera, but as the lens is further away from the sensor/film plane than it was designed for you lose infinity focussing so the lens is only good for close-ups.
The second type is more expensive as it incorporates corrective optics to compensate and allow infinity focussing. But by introducing additional (and often suspect quality) optical elements you inevitably have a trade-off in image quality and may experience greater lens flare and chromatic aberrations.

Either way, an adapter leaves the MD lens completely unable to communicate any information to the camera body, and the body is unable to automatically stop the lens aperture down when taking photos. In practice, this means that you must use the camera in fully manual mode, manually focus at wide open aperture and then turn the aperture ring down to whatever you wish to use to correctly meter the light level in order to set the correct shutter speed.

All in all, it's a complete waste of time in my opinion and it would be simpler and far cheaper to obtain a suitable Minolta MD mount body to use with those lenses alone. They go for free/peanuts now, like many 35mm SLR bodies and you can try your local FreeCycle/Freegle groups before shelling out anything. Rare/collectable models aside, no MD mount body should go for more than £10-£20 unless it's guaranteed to have been freshly serviced with new batteries.

As you may be aware, newer Sony lenses will fit your 5D as they use the same mount, but they aren't anywhere near as cheap nor plentiful as MD lenses.

Hope this helps, all that I ask in return is for you to take a moment to rate my answer.

My open view is not showing any pictures but showing information about programs playing what might be the problem

Some steps you can try: Check Picture Location: Ensure that the pictures you want to view are in the same folder location. Sometimes, if the images are scattered across different folders, they may not appear correctly in the photo viewer. Repair or Reset the Photo App (for Windows 11): Go to Settings > Apps > Photo. Click on Advanced options. Choose either Repair or Reset to address any potential issues with the Photo app. Enable Thumbnail Previews (for Windows 10): Open File Explorer Options: Type "file explorer options" in the Windows search bar and select the first result. Switch to the View tab. Ensure that the option "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is unchecked. Click Apply and then OK to save the changes. That is about all I can offer. If you repost, include brand and model.

How do you turn on Digivue1.3? Has new batteries and used a while ago but pressing 2 button (Mode, Set) do nothing.

This is going to take patience and maybe the user guide. To turn on the Digivue 1.3, follow these steps: Connect to Your PC: Connect the standard USB cable (supplied) to a free USB socket on your PC. The end of the USB cable should be connected to the socket on the back of the USB digidock. Important: Do not connect any of the cabling provided with the Digivue before commencing the software installation. Install DigiConnect Windows® Software: Insert your Digivue into the docking station. If you are connecting for the first time, a Red LED will display in the Activity Window of the Digivue. Insert the CD provided into your optical disk drive. It will run automatically, and a dialog box will appear. If the autorun feature is disabled on your system, browse to the disk using Windows® Explorer and double-click Setup.exe. If you have a multilingual version of Digiconnect, you will be prompted for your language. Select from the list and click "Next." Accept the terms in the License Agreement and proceed with the installation. Choose the folder for software installation (default is the standard location for Windows® programs). Click "Install" to begin the installation. Leave the box labeled "Launch DigiConnect" ticked and click "Finish." Wait for the Red LED: Wait until a RED LED appears in the activity window of the Digivue. You may now proceed with the next steps. If you encounter any issues during this process, refer to the detailed instructions in the Digivue User Guide on page 9
