What is the biggest size memory card for my Dimage A1 Minolta Camera?
An older camera, the DiMage A1 came with a 16mb card. Some cameras are picky about which cards work best. Compact Flash cards are sold in different speeds and your camera may work faster with a faster card. This camera can use Compact Flash type I or type II, and is compatible with the microdrive card. Since this camera was introduced the capacities of Compact Flash cards have increased dramatically so I believe you should be able to use a larger card with no problems but I would check out some of the online photography sites to read about other's experiences. Here is one good resource:

Hope this helps!

You cannot find the age of Minolta lenses by the serial number, Minolta didn't use serial numbers like that. Some lenses have (c) xxxx for the year the type were first manufactured but that means the range, not that lens.
This site has the different versions of the range.

You directed this question at me, but unfortunately I'm unable to provide you with a "real" solution at this time. FixYa has informed me that by providing you with this "solution" your question will then be made visible to other experts; hopefully one of them will be able to provide you with a real solution. It also might help if you ask a question instead of simply naming a lens.Thank you for using FixYa.

Which model do you have? I would need to know this before I can give any advice on this issue.

It sounds like the camera isn't detecting the film, but it could be a more serious problem with the hardware...whatever it is, fixing it usually involves swapping out the "brains" of the unit, if it isn't simply the film sensor mech. Even that can require extensive repair..
If it was advertised in good working order, I would return it, since it probably isn't. Communicate with the previous owner to see what can be resolved.
Good luck, and hope this helps.
