Try going to Yahoo's account recovery page: https://edit.yahoo.com/forgotroot
That should resolve issues with username and password, and help you login to hacked / compromised accounts.

0 1 2 3 etc
you might see a box kind of folder there before that zero folder delete that .

When you send/receive an instant message and no message appears, you probably have scripting disabled in your Internet Explorer.

To enable scripting:

1. Click the "Tools" menu on your Internet Explorer toolbar and select "Internet Options."

This usually happens when too much traffic or "inhuman" volumes of search queries are emanating from one IP address within a 24 hour time- It is a server-based defense mechanism to curtail bandwidth sacks on Yahoo's servers. If I were you, I would download a program called Malwarebytes and run it on your machine. You may have to go into safemode to run it. Install it and let run, then remove anything it found.

Some virus can cause this bug in Yahoo Messenger. Check your Internet Options, go to Security Tab, and see if there is a new item. Normal items there are Internet, Local Intranet, Trusted sites, and Restricted sites. If you see a new item, chances are you were hit by a virus.

To resolve this, open a registry editor (click Start, click Run. On the Open box, type: regedit and then press Enter). Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft\ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Internet Settings \ Zones

There should only be 5 items there, numbered 0 to 4. If you see a different one, especially if you see items that shows up as box, try deleting it. (Backup your registry first). If you were able to delete that extra item, this might fix the bug, and you will be able to see the chat messages again in yahoo messenger.

If it does not work, try registering the dlls for scripting. To do this:

Click Start, then click Run. type in the open box:

regsvr32 vbscript.dll

and then press Enter or click OK.

Next, click Start, then click Run. Type in the open box:

regsvr32 jscript.dll

and then press Enter or click OK.

I just now fixed this problem in my laptop. This happends if u download any other internet Browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox and uninstalled it. follow these steps to fix it..
Open internet Explorer
>Go in Tool
>Internet Options
>Program Tab
>Under 'Default Web Browser' Click on 'Make Default' Button >Tick on 'Tell me if internet explorer not the default web browser'
>Apply
>OK

this should solve the Application not found error in programs such as Yahoo Messenger, etc.
