there is a rod that hangs out above the hitch you pull it out and move it into a released position when done release and push it in

check the drive belt

check the linkage and make sure that it has full travel

1) The tie rod between the front wheels is bent or the adjuster nut has come loose.
2) The plastic wheel bearings have gone to sh*t on either or both sides
3) The steering knuckles were never greased and their bushings are shot to sh*t.
4) The front tires have come off the rims
5) The front axle beam has been bent

Find a small engine repair shop in the yellow pages and have a person with know how put his eyes and hands on it, you will know within a few minutes what is wrong.

Your deck should have a couple "idler" pulleys on them in addition to the main mandrell pulleys that have tension on them via springs to keep tension on your deck belt. Maybe you need to really examine the condition of those "idler" pulleys and also the main pulleys to find the problem.

the wires that go to PTO switch can rub through and short out. Trace wires to ensure they arent any bare, still under warranty?/?
