There is probably a relay in the radio that releases when the power is off, but must be reset by turning the radio on when the ignition is switched back on.

There is no available instruction yet in the internet for programming a 2008 KIA model keyless remote.
It would still be best if you take your car to your dealer and let them program your keyless remote.


There is an instruction available for a 2006 model. It might be worthy to try it on your keyless remote.

Remove all visible screws first on handles, etc. then you should be able to pop the panel off as it should be held on by clips.

Change the oil and the filter to see if this helps to remedy ghe problem.

sometimes the wire breaks off inside the shifter remove switch and check wires or take off the center consol and check wires if not broken inside tube but if the lights on dash flashes problem from tcm causes disengaging the overdrive and making it not functional you need a scanner to find the code or remove the battery cable for 15 mins to erase all codes and see if it works if not you need scanner

you need a scanner to be able to unlock the system and sometimes a code will be needed to have control over the adjustments usually they call the tech line with serial number and the tech gives a authorize code to secure the system should be guarentee 3 yrs 60 km or 5 yrs 100 km

you have 4 black wires6 milimeters top of your engine take 1 of fit one in then 2nd comblete 3th and 4th you need spark plug socket go an clock wise. check the gap.
