Optio s - flash problem in low light

Read the photo data (EXIF) and confirm what setting the flash was in. It may have been set to off by mistake. For close indoor shots I usually don't depend on the Auto setting, just manually force the flash on to get proper lighting. If you use the Auto setting take into consideration the white balance and the type of indoor lighting you are using.

Optio S - low light autofocus problem

Using "spot" focusing area insted of "multiple" works best in low light (and I guess it gives you the best results in any situation).

My pentax optio s has fell on the floor.

It is not likely that camera drop damage will be covered under warranty. But it never hurts to ask. Regardless, you will need to contact Pentax about repairs. Repair location information should be in the documentation that came with the camera. Their website shows service centers: http://www.pentaxusa.com/service/serv_servcenter.cfm Camera drops are not uncommon. Sorry to hear yours was damaged.

Took out memory card to transfer photos. returned card to camera and it indicated memory card error shut down leaving lens out.

Never remove or insert a memory card while the camera is turned on. Try removing the battery, waiting about 30 minutes, and then putting in a freshly charged battery. Never remove or insert a memory card while the camera is turned on!!!!!!

Will 5 year old cameras take a 16gb card

Hi. Your camera is too old to accept that big a card. The camera will let you know what size it will accept. Just keep putting larger sizes until it stops. Hope that helps.

Pentax Optio E20 will not turn on.

The green light only means the memory card is getting power. That nothing else comes on indicates a serious problem that requires a trip to your local camera shop for help.

Camera saying connection fail when trying to transfer photos to pc via usb cable

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).
