I cant open a port

I may have a solution for you. I had the same kind of problems when I upgraded the NS840 Security Blackbox Main Program from 2.0.0 to 3.0.1. From reading in other places I really don't think the 3.0.1 software works at all as far as being able to connect to your system remotely. Something about the engineers sabotaging the software before they went out of business. Luckily I still have the 2.0.0 software that I downloaded last year. So I uninstalled the 3.0.1 and installed the old 2.0.0 and guess what? It works as advertised! You'll need to download and unzip the program installation file here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/389704/ns840_2.0.0_setup.rar

I have a netrome black

Hello,

The reason your cameras image is not coming up is simply because the camera is not properly installed on your system and it might also not be on.

First, ensure the camera is properly turned on and does not have any fault.

Then you check the connections made during the installation of the camera.

Since it is a pc based security surveillance DVR system, when you connect the camera on it, it will appear as a hardware, then you have to install the camera as a new hardware. It will require a driver for it, so ensure the driver is available to be able to complete the installation.

Then if your box is receiving access for you to view your images from a central unit, then the unit have to be checked and secured that it is working properly, then you will be able to view your images.

Rerun the installation of the cameras on the box, then you check the main server that gives you access to view the images and ensure it is properly working, then your camera image will show up once again.

Take care

Have Model: SM-79. Serial# 7951889.Operating OK. Rust buildup lower left corner outer cover with woman picture and STEAMBATH letters under her picture. How should I address matter?

Like Steve stated. I would add to use a rust-converting primer (the type that converts surface rust into an invert primer, stopping all future rusting).

As this is only occurring in the left corner, I'd try to determine exactly where the water is coming from (that's causing the damage). I suppose it could be condensation if the unit is over ten years old, but it also possible that a connection slightly loose or worn.
