My vcr has L2 on it and I can't operate my vcr

L2 is an input (scart probably). Try the "source" button on your remote - it's sometimes got a little circle with a line going out one side. Not up - that's on/off.

I cant operate my vcr there's a code on it L2 I can't change the channel or record nothing it's theL2

Haveing looked around the web I can only find results for the E2 code for this model. E2 indicates that the loading motor is locked in the unload direction. This means that when the tape was in the machine it tried to unload the tape and got stuck. There could be numorous causes for this that would require investigate. Till the fault is cleared the machine will be unoperational.

My VCR inadvertently got 'locked';

Try unplugging it for about 4 hours. While unplugged, press and hold the power button for 10 full seconds half way through the time. Then after 4 hours, plug it back in and see if it resets itself.

I have a Mitsubishi HS-U446 vcr and it works fine

There are several companies out there that make replacement remotes, and do not charge a fortune for them I used to have a similar model and got a replacement remote for about 40.00. It may seem like alot, but for that model and the Mitsubishi VCR's in general, I think of it as a wise investment. I used a Co. called Replacement Remotes.com. Ther also is another one called Smart Home remotes.

Is it digital? will I need a converter box?

The conversion to digital affects off air reception. Since you have Comcast analog cable, you will not be affected until Comcast decides to discontinue analog cable, which is not likely any time soon.
When that day comes, your old VCR will probably grace a landfill anyhow, and you will need a converter box from Comcast.

How to set the clock

Check here for a similiar model: http://download.jazel.net/misc/filecache/3f/3fca776cb32a0a5f4402168c2ef88bbe_1071-ManualHSU448.pdf You have the remote box? Most functions, clock/date set, channel add/delete and so on are done with the remote, and cannot be so done with the limited buttons on the VCR itself. Early VCRS (pre-90s) were setup with these VCR located buttons.

Mitsubishi HS-U445

Check batteries in remote- maybe they are weak/dead. Do the buttons on VCR itself do anything? Unplug VCR for a few minutes, perhaps this will clear the condition. Mitsubishi doesn't show your model, but perhaps this one will be close enough: http://www.mitsubishi-tv.com/j/i/18326/HSU449.html?cid=42

How do you connect the VCR Mitsubishi HS-U446 to record a TV show?

Usually the standard color coding for those connections are yellow, red and white. Yellow for video, red and white for audio left and right if it is stereo. Also pay attention on the the label of your vcr if it is input or output. You need need to connect it from output of your vcr to the input of your tv set. TV have also the same color coding. By the way the cable you use for this purpose is what we called RCA, which is also color coded. good luck!

Mitsubishi DLP 73 inch TV WD-73738 is blinking 6 red and 1 yellow, replaced the color wheel, and still having the same problem?

The lamp is not enabled possibly due to the colour wheel motor not turning. Any broken glass jamming it? Or the lamp ballast has failed due to an old/worn lamp.

I have a mitsubishi dlp tv model wd 60738 and when i turn it on the power button blinks for a second and then it stops but no picture and after while turns off

Most likely you need to replace the projection bulb. You can find them online. DLP sets are famous - or infamous - for burning out the bulbs/lamps.

Mitsubishi VCR HS-U580 guide rollers not moving forward all the way. Cassette would not load. Also noticed drum not spinning when powered on

Your Mitsubishi VCR HS-U580 looks to have a problem with the information rollers and drum. Here are some things to check: Look for something blocking the VCR or cassette compartment that would possibly be stopping the guide rollers. Check the belt that drives the VCR mechanism. If it is loose or broken, you may also need to substitute it. Clean the video heads using a head-cleaning cassette to make certain they're not dirty. See if the drum motor is working. If it is not spinning, there may be an issue with the motor. If the trouble persists, it's an exact idea to get assistance from a professional technician or contact Mitsubishi's purchaser support for advice. Be cautious when dealing with electronic devices, and if you are not certain what to do, it's great to get assistance from an expert.

Where could I download a copy of a service manual for mitsubishi hs-u580 vcr?

i think finding a downloadable service manual for your Mitsubishi HS-U580 VCR might take some searching, but here are a few options: Check the official Mitsubishi website's support section. They might offer downloadable manuals for older models. Many online appliance parts stores like RepairClinic or AppliancePartsPros stock service manuals for various brands and models. Search for your specific VCR model to see if they have it available.Websites like ManualsLib or iFixit sometimes host user-uploaded service manuals. While the availability and quality can vary, it's worth checking. If online options fail, consider purchasing a physical copy of the service manual from online marketplaces like eBay or Amazon.
