I don't think the oil-gas ratio will cause that problem. Did you check to see if the fuel lines or fuel filter is clogged?

It sounds like you have a bad Ignition Coil (Module). This is how they act when they start going bad. When they get warm, they quit. Some will last up to 20 minutes before they shut down. You can sometimes find a used one pretty cheap at a small engine shop.

What is the fuel/oil mixture

Sometimes, the fuel ratio is stamped on the fuel cap. Your ratio is 50:1. Echo specifies using 89 (mid-grade ) octane Here is a chart that tells you how much oil you need in a gallon of gas...Just 1/2 it for a half-gallon mix. A copy of your manual is also here.

Will start and idle only....when

There is probably dirt blocking the main fuel supply to the engine. You need to strip and clean the carb, preferably fitting a new carb kit at the same time. Clean out all the passages and orifices by blowing them out, but be careful of loosing small parts like filter screens and screws.

My Echo PB 235 starts

Have you drained all the old fuel mixture out? As well as taking out the spark plug and cleaning it should do the trick. I suggest giving it a little tuneup.

Blower stalls when first cranking. Have to use

LOOKS LIKE THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE CARBURETOR OR THERE IS A CLOG IN THE SUPPLY LINE. IT JUST MIGHT REQUIRE SOME CLEANING AND FINE TUNING.

Stalls when given gas

barterjoe.tifThe common cause for stalling in small machines like this is the buildup of debris in the check valves of the carburetor. It is recommended to clean the carburetor in a $30 jewelry cleaner and rebuild it. You can obtain parts from a local dealer like www.arcolawn.comMake sure to call them with the numbers on the side of your carburetor.Good luck Joe

I have an echo pb-250

what you need to do is remove the white plastic plug just above the diaphram gskt in the base of the carb use a pick or drill bit (but only turn it by hand) till you get it out then you will see a screw which will take a small flat blade screwdriver, start and warm up the blower then turn that screw counterclockwise till your Blower runs right on full throttle. the new equipment made now a days is set so lean for emissions that one change in the weather will affect how they run..... 2StrokeJim

Hi, When I run the blower at full throttle it

I suggest change your filter in the tank if you haven't already then make sure you have a good spark plug , then try it again, try running w/choke part way on and see if it helps , if it does you need to clean your carb and don'tnt forget to check all fuel lines for cracks or broken, while you have carb apart don't forgrt to pull fuel inlet screen and back flush it and put it back in and also pull the needle and seat out and clean the orfice where needle goes and put back together, then if you still have the same problrm I would make sure your exhaust port is clean then you can adj your carb...there is only 1 setting on that carb, you have to pick the plastic(white) out and then the screw is under that just above where carb & diaphram split. Good Luck!!!

It can be removed with a pick or a small drill bit to open the center so you can dig it out, Had the same problem with mine. Fixed it and Sold it and got a 4 stroke Dolmar and love it! no more mixing oil/gas ! once you get it out will have to run at wide open throttle and prob have to turn approx 1/8 turn or until it cleans out and runs right, try both ways and find the happy medium

Cord is stuck. Can't pull it

is cord stuck out or in? sounds like possible fan/flywheel cam loose on you which will cause this, take recoil off and see if it rolls over by hand with spark plug out, if so then reinstall recoil and see if pull rope works then, if not check fan and/flywheel on opposite side you will have to dissasemble case to do this, lots of screws, once there check flywheel key in flywheel to see if it has spun, if so you will need new flywheel approx$ 60.00 part hope this helps you

Will not start

assuming that the carburetor is getting gas; the next thing you should check is that the imbeded magnet on the flywheel is clear and free of Rust and that the air gap is correct.
