Mitsubishi WS-55511 55" Rear Projection Television - Page 4 Questions & Answers
Ws-55511 went 3D
Hi,just visit ebay web site and search for item #230735864835.this is a convergence repair listing, don't buy a repair kit if you don't know how to solder or you'll damage your board.so try this guy and let the professional do the Job done right for cheap.
Antenna inputs do not detect a signal.
If the model is correct it has a series of 3 hidden menus--one is the option menu--it is a hard reset of entire set except convergence to factory original---It is called the "option" menu and is used to cure all sorts of odd issues. It requires the use of an original MItsubishi remote and a 4 digit code.If you want to try it let me know and confirm model number.
Power on fault
A common issue---if set has been unplugged plug it in and when the green light comes on and goes out----on the front of the set press and hold both the menu and input (DEVICE ON SOME MODELS) buttons for at least 5 seconds and release both buttons.Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks a pause and repeat the code for a total of 5 times.Let me know what the error code is and I will tell you what it means. Blinking green light
ONLY 1 of 2 things can cause this problem----First thing to do is remove front speaker grill--it should pull out and issecured with plastic pegs--behind it you will find an inspection plate---Notice the one or two pairs of wirescoming from the front keyboard of the set---remove the inspection plate andfollow the wires to the right--you can unplug both plugs(most have two and theyare marked with letters and different s so you cannot get them wrong)The idea here is to remove the front keyboard with its reset button etc fromthe circuit---You will still be able to try to turn the set on with theremote---These sets have a Receiver that is called a DM board--(large metal box to theleft as you look from the back) and if the power goes out the green light willblink for about 70 seconds and then go out---it is the Receiver booting up. Itis called the DM board. If disconnecting the keyboard allows the set to turn on--you have a bad resetswitch and two choices---either operate the set only with the remote or toremove the front screen and get at the reset switch (it is tiny) and removeand/or replace it.If disconnecting the keyboard does not restore the set to operation---thereceiver is bad---there are 4 or more caps and some pico fuses that can fail inthat unit---Mitsubishi no longer sells or repairs these--if it is bad and notthe caps there is a company you can send the unit to and have it repaired--ifyou need to know their name let me know---You can call them and get a quote for repairing the receiver.Let me know what more information you need--I am here to help.SD TECH

Please help me, i have Error code 23 on Mitsubishi WS-55511
A 23 error is loss of horizontal deflection First thing to check is the solder joints around the Flyback and around the two transformers T5A31 and T5A32. If you resolder those three items then pull the Q5A31 HOT ( Horizontal output transistor ) from circuit. If you send me a email to
[email protected] I will walk you through how to test the various components in the Horizontal deflection circuit and help you get your set up and running again.
Mitsubishi big screen model wd73cp
It is in shutdown because either a short or a serious problem in the set.GOOGLE the model with error codes to find out how to read what the lights on front (if on or blinking) mean.
WS-5551 no picture just horizontal lines it does have good sound thogh
Take the front panel off. It should be clipped on or just have 4 screws holding it on. There are 3 tube here. You will have 6 dials on a black box. Play with these by turning them down or up very slightly. If you over turn it it your T.V. will shut off. You should only turn the row on the top and only ever so slightly. If you don't get some kind of picture out of this, you probably have a bad vertical IC. Needs to be serviced.
Green timer light on WS-55511 keeps blinking
You have a bad Power board. Unplug your T.V. Take off the back cover. There is a silver box on the left. Disconnect all the wires coming out of that box from the other boards. (These are all labeled on the connectors) (Thanks Mitsubishi ((the only company that really does this but engineers poorly otherwise.)) After you get this mini jungle out, take the screws off that box. You're gonna see 8 capacitors. Replace those with 8 new 1000uf at the same voltage listed on them. Make sure when you do this you know which side all the negative legs go. After you replace all 8 of them in proper polarity, this issue is fixed and you saved 280 dollars.Reconnect the wires appropriately in the spots you found em. Put the back cover on. Take 4 steps back when you plug this in so you can see what blows up, and voila, your T.V. should power right back on as if you had spend 15 dollars to fix it.
How can i get 1080 without the remote
The only HD input for this set is the Component input on the rear marked DTV.You must connect a HD signal to that input. On front of set press the input (or Device) until you reach the DTV input.

How do i reset my mitsubishi television model#ws-55511
First a reset may not help unless I know what your problem is.If model listed (WS-55511) IS CORRECT: set has 3 hidden menus:Option Menu (hard reset of all settings to factory)Technical Menu (Adjustments for various things)Convergence Menu for adjusting convergence.THESE ARE NOT ACCESSED FROM CUSTOMER MENU. Each requires Mitsubishi remote and a 4 digit code .......So, What is your issue with the set?I have the codes but it depends on model number and what problem with set is, reset is in Option menu but will not cure all problems.SD TECH
