TV looks like it's in 3D

You may have to resolder the convergence ICS. Carefully remove the board to do this and while you are at it check all electrolytic radial caps. Looks overwhelming...patience my friend...If you can, an hour a day is plenty of time to do this. It may take a few weeks....trust me , patience is your best company. This is a good place to start! [Yawn!}

Mitsubishi VS-4552A

This symptom seems to be a vertical Sweep fault cause what happens is theres a protection circuit in this set that activates when it sees theres no verticle sweep, it shuts off the picture on the set so that the tubes dont get lines burnt in the middle and become damaged. If you know your way around a TV set then you could locate the vertical output IC and resolder all its pins first as well as anything else in that circuit that looks like a cold solder connection. Then i9f it still does the same thing I would just replace the verticle output IC as well as the B+ supply capacitor off the flyback xformer for the sweep dirived power supply. Now if your not knowlegeable about these HI VOLTAGE circuits my advice would be do not attempt the repair yourself as you could get hurt and /or cause more problems with the set as there are no tubes in this set to test except the picture tubes. Contact Mits. at this #800-332-2119 or look in your owners manual for a contact #. Good Luck.

Mitsubishi VS45607 tv

Brief an d to the source. A high voltage speed switch is bad and we will cross reference it with an NTE 2361. But this is only the start. You can crossreference all of the transistors. Q531,Q532,Q533 Q530 , Q5ADO [Horizontal output transistor] and Q5A02 Looks like Q502 on board [also i think this is also an horizontal output transistor. Then by all means change the following capsC541, C551, C531, C562, C534, C402, an d C933 . It will take some time to do this, be patient my friend. Your Mishis will return!

My vs45607 has problem

Theres a leaky capacitor on the 9V regulator output line. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you probably shouldn't try but it should be a fairly reasonable repair by a pro. Good Luck

Mitsu vs-5042 Works then picture goes out. Thumping works sometim

If you occasionally have a picture then you stand a good chance of repairing this tv. There are bad grounds on the deflection board. Start with the board that has the flyback. I do not know the year of your tv. Sometimes the same model may have an option improvement than one couple of months earlier. The first suspected problem would be the vertical IC. In some cases this ic is located on the convergence board and in others the flyback board. It has seven pins and is the TDA version. Located on a large heatsink. Resolder this and any other grounds on both board. Some will tell you the P I P board is bad. This is a free standing board that can be removed and replaced. But please do the earlier option first.

I am getting error code 23 on my Mitsu 46607 TV.

It means you have a Horizontal or vertical deflection problem. A common cause are intermittent solder connections on the yoke plug connectors on the yoke themselves. Best thing to do is to solder them all. Do not attempt this if you have no or limited knowledge of High Voltage circuits of TVs.
Hope this helps,

Black horizontal lines. Looks like I am looking through venetian blinds

OK this problem is caused by a failing electrolytic capacitor back in the power supply. It's job is to filter AC interfence from that voltage source. Locating the correct capacitor is something not for a do-it-yourselfer. A respectable tv shop experienced with Mitsubishi tv's can usually repair this problem in your home. Average repair cost would be between $200 and $300.

Power button flashing but tv won't turn on

If the power light is constantly flashing even after you have unplugged the set for a min or two and the plugged it back in, the you will need to replace 4 capacitors on the "DM" board. The "DM" board is located under a metal shield on the left side looking from the back of the TV with the back cover removed. They are 1000 microfarrad and rated at 16 volts DC. Available from radio shack or just about any electronics part supplier. Once you look at the circuit board, you will see the defective ones, they will have the tops swelled up. You will need at least a 40 watt soldering iron, .032 solder, and "solder wick" to do the job. Make sure you get the polarity straight when instaling them. If this explanation is too technical, then call a repair shop and ask then how much to replace the 4 capacitors on the "DM" board.

The tv acts like the cable has gone out even though it has not

do you have the yellow video and red and white audio rca cables ?
it will give you a better picture than the coax connection.
but the tv tuner may be going , so using the rca jacks would eliminate the tuner, but finding out which tuner is bad ( cable box if using one or the tv tuner)should be checked with another tv to see if it also happends to that tv , if it does not then the other tv tuner is bad and needs to be replaced
