remove the belt and make sure all of the pullys spin freely.

you can use a syringe to put fluid in through the vent(s) after removing the vent hose, but I would not recommend this. Best way is to have the drive removed, drain old and service with new in the fill port. If you are not handy, this would be a job for someone you know who is because this would be pretty expensive at repair shop or dealer.

The obvious answer here is there are adjustment nuts right at the base of the tillers (close to where they are attached to mower). If thats the issue, you need to level it with the other side and tighten the nut. Otherwise, it could be that you need to do the adjustment to match speed side to side, which should be in your user manual.

Buy some electrical contact cleaner and spray in any orifice you can find in the pto switch an then blow out with compressed air. If this does not work locate your pto safety switch and do the same to it. If either works would have a spare on hand just in case.

Make sure valve gap is right .

some of the larger hp (over 10) small engines use a small pressure unloader valve in the piston area , this is usually activated by oil pressure (as they have oil pumps and don't rely on splash system ) the symptom of the unloader valve not working is the engine is laboring to start ,sometimes might not even do so, but if one turns crankshaft back one half rev. it will start as normal , unfortunately most of the times this valve is not easy to access without disassembling the engine , most of the times I fix them I find it clogged with grime from lack of scheduled oil changes and grime seems to collect right in this area , these same people allways ask (after they get the bill) what tells me the oil needs changed , I tell them that as soon as you see the oil change to a darker color then its time !

You did not mention if it was both sides that quit or just one. If it is both sides then the only thing they have in common is the belt and tightener other then that they are two totally separate units. If it was one side only then I would be checking the plastic fan on the pulley on top of the side that quit. It is a 7 inch 10 blade plastic fan.When it breaks or most of the fins fly off it does not cool the oil inside of it, there is only 1 3/4 quart inside. With time off getting hot it will condensate on the inside and make the 20w50 motor oil watery and it will foam and load the system with air and it stops pulling. The transmission will need to be removed to replace the fan blade. There is 5 bolts and 3 wire clips. I would strongly encourage you to remove the filler plug and dump out that oil and replace with new. You might want to try using a carburetor cleaner additive, or a spray cleaner to clean the carb internally. Make sure your air filter is clean. You may also want to make sure fuel lines are not restricted.

Look in your owner's manual, parts for deck lift. A SPRING OR BOLT COME LOOSE.
