The main pulley below the motor is split and needs

I would recommend that you remove the deck, when you do you will have an adquate amount of work space. You may want a pully puller to assist in getting the pully off.

Diagram to fit belts please John Deer 345C 48'"

Replacing a Mower Belt
1.
Remove the grass catcher and plastic tunnel at the rear of the mower by pulling the two metal pins that hold it in place.
2.
Place the mower on a flat, even surface (like a garage floor or driveway), and lower the cutting deck all the way to the floor.
3.Release the locks on either side of the height adjustment arm that holds the deck in place. Since the deck is resting on the ground, there will be no weight on these locks.
4
The front portion of the deck is hanging on a rod. Move the deck forward and lift the rod.
5.
The old belt is now slack. Take note of how it fits around the pulleys, and then remove it from the pulleys.
6.
Reset the deck's height adjustment to its highest position, and then lift the deck out from under the mower so that you have it in a clear and open area to work with.
7.
Put the new belt around the pulleys the same way the old belt fit. There should be plenty of slack for you to do this easily. Some belts twist around the pulley, so be sure to take note of whether your particular model requires this sort of fit.
8.
Fit the deck back on the mower by first putting the front rod in place.
9.
Lower the height adjustment lever all the way, and lock the rear of the deck back onto the arms.
10.
Place the belt around the engine pulley.
11.
Use a small piece of wood to push the tension pulley forward while guiding the belt around it. This will cause the belt to become taut.
12.
Reset your height adjustment on the deck, replace your grass catcher and replace the plastic tunnel.

How to ajust drive belt 145 john deere

It is better to replace and not adjust the wheel drive belt, too loose and it slips, too tight and you ruin very expensive bearings YOU can not replace...Belts are cheap, bearings are very expensive!

My John Deere 5400 tractor runs until when started

Yes. The ignition switch uses two contacts for start/run. START position energizes the fuel shutoff relay which feeds back into itself to create a self latching state. The RUN position allows the self latch to continue until no longer in the RUN position (OFF), which interrupts the self latch thereby cutting off fuel. So you need to determine why the ignition switch RUN position doesn't maintain the fuel relay self latch state.

I have John Deere L100 new battery and new clutch safety switch won't roll over turn the key it does nothing.

There are several possible causes for this, such as: A loose or disconnected spark plug wire A faulty or dirty spark plug A clogged or faulty fuel system A broken or chafed wire from the starter A bad voltage regulator or battery A malfunctioning safety switch or ignition switch You wll have to check each one of these, clean what is dirty, replace what is broken or clogged, make sure the spark gat is .76 mm if you change the plugs. You will need a multimeter to check the voltage regulator.
  • Disconnect the three-wire connector from the voltage regulator.
  • Connect the jumper wire from the negative battery terminal to the black wire terminal on the voltage regulator.
  • Connect the red probe of the multimeter to the red wire terminal on the voltage regulator, and the black probe to the jumper wire.
  • Set the multimeter to measure DC voltage and turn the ignition switch to the ON position. You should see a reading of about 12 volts. If not, the voltage regulator is faulty and needs to be replaced.
  • Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and disconnect the multimeter and the jumper wire.
  • Reconnect the three-wire connector to the voltage regulator and the negative battery cable to the battery terminal.

9300 JD tractor. Implement wont stay up when raised or keep cylinder sucked in when in the ground. Has 4 Hyd. outlets and all do the same thing.Pump seems fine. Implement leaks down in 15-20 seconds.

It is probably a fluke unrelated to the reverse disengaging{the fact that it burnt off a cable}.If it has the original reverser still in place, the one that kicks it's self out and not the one that beeps at you, then it may need to be replaced. They usually didn'nt even make it all the way to the end of warranty before replacement was needed which is why they are now obsolete.for resolve this problem you can check service repair guide:

John deere 757 zero turn when clutch is engaged it pulls down battery until it disengages itself! Battery is new and does charge when clutch is not engaged! Any ideas? Thanks

Likely a higher than normal impedance in the return path at the voltage regulator. The metal frame of the regulator is the return path via engine metal/block to battery negative. Make sure the regulator mounting screws are tight and free from corrosion.

If no problems found, further testing will be necessary to rule out a failing regulator. Comment for further assistance.
