Have you tried the hard reset that this set has?

If you are not getting picture on any input including antenna a and b--it is a real problem--If you want to know how to try the reset let me know.

USUALLY THE RESET WILL HELP IF THE PROBLEM HAPPENED AFTER A POWER LOSS....

Model 55311 Can you pick up digital tv without

I am thinking that you have a Mitsubishi WS-55311. If this is the case, you will need a converter box to receive digital television signals.

I hope that this helps you resolve your issue.

You can probably purchase a smilar set on Craig's list for $300.00, at least that's what they go for in the Austin Texas area.
A new tube may be too expensive and difficult to replace.

Where are the fuses located on a HD1080 model

These sets use pico fuses ---a 2-2 code usually means one of the convergence chips is shorted and has taken one or both pico fuses out that protect the chips--set detects no voltage and shuts set down instantly--this model uses 2 STK-394-250 CHIPS---I can send you a photo of what the fuses look like--if you find either or both bad--you need to replace the chips--if you just replace the fuse(s) it will just do more damage.

They are not glass fuses--the set you have is a V22 chassis and the chips are location numbers: IC8C01 AND IC8CO2.

Apparently I did not have the correct remote to go with this television. The remote I had was a Mitsubishi, but I was able to obtain one that had the 'format' button.

Mitsubishi 55 in. 1080 series

If I remember correctly, this TV has a couple of constraints that will cramp your style:

1. It supports 480i, 480p and 1080i. NO 720P
2. It has component video inputs, but NO HDMI. (as you stated)

There is no easy solution here, because I've never found an upconverting DVD player that would upconvert anything past 480p using the analog component outputs...

So..

Perhaps you can find an Upconverting BLU-RAY disk player that may allow older DVDs to be upconverted to 1080i via the component outputs.

MOST Blu-Ray players allow 1080i output via the analog connections on Blu-Ray discs, so perhaps there is your solution.

Mitsubishi WS-55311 flashing screen

First suggestion is to unplug your unit for 24 hours, if does not correct your concerns, you may have fluid leakage from the tubes onto the pc boards. Make sure you have proper air venting around the tv. If problem persist call factory authorized dealer in your area. good luck

How do i get my tv at 1080i

First of all your system, tv, must be able to perform your request, Secondly, your service must be able to provide the 1080i or 1080p, not all service's provide the service with the equipment they provided you (your box). Check with your provider.

Mitsubishi WS-55311 answer you gave me.

Before you replace a board, please double check or use different cables, make sure the cables are in the proper out/inputs, rgb to rgb. Try 'comp' 2. Composite vs component uses two different paths to produce a picture. Also, after taking tv's back off ensure that all boards are seated properly, since this happened after movement. CAUTION: make sure the unit is poweless, unplug tv. Let me know. Good luck....

All inputs work except for the component videos.

When your tv shows a blue screen it not getting a signal!! In your mit's you have to go into the customer menu and turn on the input/device. The device control is on the remote, click over to input and activate (enter). Also, look into owners manual, the customer service at mit's will step you through it if you wish. Note: put cables into comp 1 (eg), make sure colored cables are correctly inserted, and audio. (red, blue, green) red/white; audio.

Mitsubishi DLP 73 inch TV WD-73738 is blinking 6 red and 1 yellow, replaced the color wheel, and still having the same problem?

The lamp is not enabled possibly due to the colour wheel motor not turning. Any broken glass jamming it? Or the lamp ballast has failed due to an old/worn lamp.
