I have a WS-65907 tv, it wont turn on
Mitsubishi self check: MOST OF THESE SETS HAVE A SELF DIAGNOSTIC: UNPLUG TV AND THEN PLUG BACK IN---TURN ON---GREEN POWER LIGHT COMES ON FOR A MOMENT AND GOES OFF. PRESS AND HOLD "device"(input) and "menu" buttons on front of tv for at least 5 seconds and then release both together. Watch for power light to blink in a sequence: 1 blink-then 2 blinks-------no error 2 blink-then 1 blink-------X-ray
protection 2 blink-then 2 blink-------SHORT PROTECTION******* 2 blink-then 3 blink---------deflection circuit problem 2 blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem ******2, then 2 is most common---usually means one of the fuses that protect the Convergence IC or IC's is blown---set will detect no voltage to convergence IC and shut down. SET WILL REPEAT BLINK ERROR CODE UP TO 5 TIMES AND THEN TO GET IT TO REPEAT MORE YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG SET AND TRY TO TURN ON AGAIN. IF IT IS 2 AND THEN 2---USUALLY CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT PROBLEM let me know what you find--hope that you find 2 blinks, a pause and two blinks--this is the most common and easiest to fix.

You have a contaminated picture tube. One of the three (red, blue, green) will need replacement fluid. The best source with instructions on how to do this, is to see the website. TVRepairKits.com. They will have complete instructions and photos. I have used this site and quite impressed. Thanks for asking and show all hands of support!
Colors separate when tv has been on for a short
The model indicated uses two of the STK-392-570 convergence chips---one is bad and both are located on the middle circuit board inside the set.
This could be a do it yourself repair (total parts will cost under 30 dollars) and I have step by step instructions for this repair in this model.
I have seen a lot of these and it is always one of the two chips (both must be replaced at the same time)
Let me know if I can assist here with your problem.

We need to figure out
All projection TV sets have two very common problems. One is convergence ( 3D/Warped video or dead set) the other is CRT fluid ( Dull Video). Here are more details and solutions for both.
Common Problem #1) Convergence has gone out
Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. In some cases the TV will also not show any video. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.
This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.
Common Symptoms include....
- Screen looks 3D, wavy, or has a shadow or shadows
- Colors don't line up
- One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
- Screen is bowed or warped.
- TV shuts off after powering on. Power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.
Here are some pics of convergence problems.

Common Problem #2) CRT Fluid is Cloudy
Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.
