Picture stays on for a few minutes then turns

This model TV is a CRT projection and does not have a lamp. It has 3 CRT tubes (Red, Green and Blue). Unfortunately, you may need to have a trained TV technician diagnose this further.

My blue and green coloring is messed up on my Mitsubishi Medallion. I can't get it to have both colors normally, it has to almost be one or the other. Is this just a contrast issue, or something

Projection TV sets have two very common problems. One is convergence ( 3D/Warped video) the other is CRT fluid ( Dull Video). Below are more details for both items. Also, complete repair kits with instructions and repair support are avail from site such as www.TvRepairKits.com Common Problem #1) Convergence has gone outProjection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem. Common Symptoms include....
  • Screen looks 3D
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.
  • TV shuts off after powering on. The power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.
Here are some pics of convergence problems. 7859b01.jpge87380c.jpg 69189a5.pngSOLUTION #1What you will need to do is convergence. You can get a repair kit from TvRepairKits.com . It includes replacement parts, step by step instructions, support, etc.Common Problem #2) CRT Fluid is CloudyProjection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images. Picture of a set that needs the fluid changed.578ba6c.jpg TV set after fluid change65af323.jpg 69189a5.pngSOLUTIONWhat you will need to do is replace the coolant and clean the crt. You can get a repair kit from TvRepairKits.com . It includes replacement coolant, step by step instructions, support, etc.

Mitsubishi WS-55613 55in.

1. "wavy" may mean a signal problem inside the set--are you seeing colors out of position or skewed around letters etc?2. Does it do it when a DVD is played? (this will rule out certain things).SD TECH

Mitsubishi WS-55613 55 in. rear projection HDTV has no picture but does give blue screen and menus. What is the problem and how can i fix it

The set has three hidden menus, one of which is the option menu--with the Mitsubishi remote and a four digit code in that you can do a hard reset of the entire set---if a glitch has occurred I have seen this fix no sound, bad video, missing inputs, you name it.It cannot hurt and may help and it is model specific as far as the 4 digit code.

My mitsubishi tv W55613 won't turn on. green light keeps blinking even after resetting

Hit the front of the tv near the blinking light... give it a good rap or two. See if this helps. Helped mine. I had the same problem and the tech who came out to the house told me that it would work and it did! I could hardly believe it but it worked.

1 have a 6 year-old Mitsubishi model WS-48511

This is called the blinking green light of death-----only one of two things can cause this problem.First: remove front speaker grill (IT PULLS OFF) AND remove inspection plate behind it; look for the two bundles of wires coming down and to the right from the front keyboard of the set.Unplug both plugs you find (different and marked so you cannot mix them up-----the idea is to take the front keyboard out of circuit-----set will still function with remote as receiver is behind front screen)Try (after 70 seconds) to turn on with remote If it comes on---defective reset button on front keyboard----use set only with remote or remove and remove actual reset switch---it is located behind and part of frame for screen----entire front screen would have to be removed to get at it.Second: if disconnection of the front keyboard does not help, the DM unit is bad.As you look from back of set it is large metal box at extreme left side. The blinking light is the unit trying to "Boot" up-----these have a problem where caps and a few other parts in that unit fail-----kits on the net are available----Mitsubishi no longer sells or services these units but PTS Electronics does repair them.Let me know if you have questions and try disconnection of the front keyboard FIRST.REGARDS, SD TECH

What is the satellite setting?

Hi my name is Mike Houston a Social Media Representative of DISH Network, if you are trying to find the input on your TV to view DISH programming, it will depend on the connections. If you are using RCA cables (red, white, and yellow) it should be on video 1 or video 2. By using the component cable (red, blue and green) it should be component 1 or component 2. If you have any questions please e-mail me; [email protected].
