Mitshubishi WD-62327 TV will not turn on and no sound. TV made a interference sound and shut off. Tried to turn it in the morning still nothing. Replaced lamp/bulb still nothing. Red light is on
If you have a voltage meter there are some things you can check.Unplug the unit and remove the back cover of the set. Then Plug the unit back in.You will need to tape down the lamp safety switch in order to do these tests. Here are all the failures that would give you a lamp error and what to check.Cause 1. Unit powers on and works properly for a while then shuts off with a red lamp led(lamp error). Suspect bad lamp and replace.Cause 2. Unit does not power up correctly and you have red lamp led(lamp error). Check the lamp enable line at connector J14 on the back of the light engine. If pin 6 does not switch to 5 volts after turn on, but your 12 and 5 volt supplies are good, then suspect a defective light engine.Cuse 3. At power on the lamp turns on and off 3 times and then the unit shuts down with a red lamp led(lamp error). You have a defective light engine.Cause 4. Unit does not turn on correctly and you have a red lamp led(lamp error). Check for 12 volts at connector J9 pin 4 on the light engine. If voltage is missing check for an open fuse F9A09 on the power supply board. If it is open, then you need to replace the fuse and you still have a defective light engine.Cause 5. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the light engine does go to 5 volts at turn on, but does not drop back to 0 volts after 5 seconds, but your 12 and 5 volts supplies are good then you have a defective light engine.Cuase 6. Check for 5 volts at connector J9 pins 1 and 2 on the light engine. If low or missing check Capacitors C9A37 and C9A38. Values are 3300MF/10V. Replace capacitors if defective. This is all I have and I wish you luck.

How to reset after changing the lamp
There should be a little pin whole on the side where all of the buttons for channel and volume ect are. take a saftey pin or the end of a paperclip and put it in there and push in for a second or two and that should reset the TV

How do I install the
The lamp is in the FRONT of the television set. Just remove the bottom front, no screws, and you'll clearly see directions on how to install the new lamp.
Simple, just a few screws.

WD- 60738 Just replaced bulb Sept 9, 2011 Unit
Hi W Bloom,First of all, thank you for contacting Fixya.com regarding your TV problem. My first advice is to do system reset by pressing the "Power" button key at the front panel and hold it for 10 secs. Please check also if you can access the "Error Code Log" by pressing the "Menu" "3" "5" "6" "4" in sequence before the unit gone to shutdown. You've mentioned that the bulb has been replaced just last Sept and now it won't come on. The lamp can't be test using the multimeter but you can make a visual inspection to determine its condition. Most of the faulty lamp has an obvious burnt mark. There's a possibility that the symptoms is caused by busted lamp but in your case, if it is a genuine lamp replacement, then high chance that the fault is not the bulb. You need to check the ballast board but not the high voltage output of it feeding the lamp. No voltage coming out from the power supply board to the ballast board can produced the same symptoms. You have to check the this voltage at connector CJ1, you must get 325V to 340V. Check also the lamp enable at connector CJ3(pin 4) you must get a low voltage upon turning on the set to confirmed that the mainboard giving a signal. If there's no voltage at CJ1, then the fault is on the power supply board. If the readings are normal, and still the ballast won't ignite (you can hear a slight snap sound when the ballast board trying to ignite), then you have to replaced it.Click the link below to order online.

Orange status light blinking
If its blinking yellow its the air filter cover is open or the door switch is bad. If its blinking red then the fan has stopped.

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525 62 in. Rear
The only things that will cause that issue is something called a DMD board. very costly to replace, but check with service center near you. if its not under warranty, consider replacement with a lcd tv, sorry to deliver the bad news.

Plugging in my Mitsubishi 62327
Hello,
The problem is either from the lamp and ballast or from the power board (power problem).
When the LED shows green, it means it is lamp problem, but since you have replaced the lamp and problem still persists, then it means it is a power problem. The red LED indicates power problem. You can also try to replace the ballast. The ballast helps to ignite the lamp and make it function well.
If the problem is not from the ballast or lamp, then it has to be a power problem.
The red LED is is consistent with a power supply board issue. This is the board where the AC goes to. This problem may have occurred as a result of irregular power supply, or excess power supply or power surge.
The TV is receiving current but cannot circulate or transfer the current to other necessary part of the TV because of the defective power supply board.
I do not think it needs replacement, rather some defective capacitors are causing this issue.
Open unit up and take a look at the power supply board. You will probably see one or more electrolytic filter capacitors that are bulged up in the top-not perfectly flat like the others.
The value of these capacitors will be different, most likely they will be somewhere around-820 to 2200uF/25 V( or /10V sometimes)
You can replace them with same values but I would recommend the voltage rating to be higher(like 35V for an original 25V) for reliability purposes.
What happens is,these bulged top capacitors will cause a low and unfiltered DC voltage=main board will malfunction(the relay will keep clicking until the caps are holding enough charge to bring the voltage up over a threshold point).
You can buy these capacitors at any Fry's or Radioshack store or you can order them online at vendors like "mcmelectronics.com"(look for electrolytic capacitors).
After replacing these capacitor(capacitors) most likely the normal operation will be restored.
Note: There may be also some other causes for this symptom ,like a defective T con board ,or main board, but the bulged top capacitors are the most common cause for this issue.
If you don't know about TV repairers, take the TV to the nearest repairman to fix the fault for you. Also, note that TV stores a lot of current, so wait a while before opening the TV back cover.
I hope this helps.
Good luck.
