Code 34 error repair shop wants to charge me $700
It just takes time. An issue like this is one that is known by the manufacturer however it takes time for the repair man to get into your tv and they are paid hourly which is where they make the big bucks. You can do it yourself just fine however you can also put your tv in the grave forever. As long as your ok with buying a new LCD if this does end up dead you should be fine. Always make sure your willing to except the risk, don't forget the insides of projection televisions can store electricity as well.
Snow and noise on tv
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. The first thing to check is if the lamp is seated properly, open the lamp door and check the switch is down position. Also you can open the door take the lamp out and put it back in and see if that works if not then it could be the ballast that has gone bad. Ballast is the board that powers on the lamp. However, as you said you hear noise if its a whining like sound then it is the color wheel that has gone bad and needs to be replaced, if its just a clicking sound then it is the Ballast. Please do
accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further
assistance.
Thanks

Errror #37 fans do not start
Hi,
Error code 37 shows problem with Fans in tv. Please check Fans supply volts that would be +10V on fans connectors.
Below is an image of error code list of your tv as reference taken from service manual that will help you.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.
Blinking green status light
Unplug for a few minutes then plug back in to try to reset it. Sometimes it could take as long as overnight before pluging back in to reset. Number of blinks is usually a trouble code.
I experienced a power outage
Red blinking Status light shows problem with Exhaust Fans in tv and any one fan would be stopped for some reason and causing problem.
Please note following red blinking sequence to check specific fan in tv..
a- red blink 1 long-1 short (time period) then chassis fan is stop.
b- red blink 1 long-2 short.... then ballast or exhaust fan is stop.
c- red blink 1 long-3 short.... then DMD or lamp fan stop.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.
Do u know the dimensions of the rear projection/it quit working
These are the dimensions of the TV itself (including the bottom piece)
The height of the TV is 37.2 inches tall
the width is 49.6 inches wide
the depth is 17.4 inches deep.

My mitsubishi wd 52725 DLP
This model like a lot of these sets made has all kinds of problems.
If you GOOGLE the model number you should come up what has been called the "green blinking light of death".
Basically what happens with these sets is capacitors on the POWER, DM, AND FMT boards all start failing. The four or so on the power board are not a real problem (there are places on the net selling kits for this ) but the DM AND FMT boards are a different story. Those boards use tiny surface mounted caps that all start drying out from the heat.
I saw a lot of these sets in a shop where I worked when they were less than three years old. At first you could order the boards if needed but then with so many failing they ran out. Then the only way to get one was to send the one in the set into Mitsubishi for repair.
Eventually they stopped doing even that. The real problem is that even if the caps on the Power board being replaced fix the trouble sooner or later each of the other two boards will fail.
Currently, due to the large number of these sets dying they have come out with a new solution (there are pending class action lawsuits that have caused this) they sell a CHASSIS replacement---all the boards that can fail are sold as a unit--about half the set---this wholesales for about 200 but has to be done by an authorized Mitsubishi center.
These sets are not real easy to take apart---to get at all three boards over sixty screws need to be removed, not to mention dismantle of that part of the set.
If you are lucky, the four caps on the power board are "puffed up" on top and the set may be fixable at a reasonable cost but I have seen customers who fixed that board and then the other two fail one at a time---you can end up with so much money in repairs that it is not worth it.
Let me know if you have questions--I am here to help---FYI--I would not buy another Mitsubishi to replace this set with.
