My tv shut of after

You probably have some capacitors going bad in the power supply. This particular model is a bear to work on,...really hate them. The entire electronics section has to be removed, a large shield removed, a lot of plugs undone, the board unscrewed and removed, and then you can change the bad caps. I don't recommend trying it. And worse...after replacing them something that has been stressed because of the bad caps tends to fail and you still have problems, like the green light on front never quits blinking after you plug the set back into the wall outlet.

What is your input source and which input cable type? If the source is a PC using a VGA cable, what resolution is the computer sending? 480x640. 800x600, 1024x768, 720x1280 (EIA standard) all at 60Hz are known to work but other modes might not.

If you are using a PC to the HDMI port, it will not work. The only HDMI ports that can connect to a computer will be listed as HDMI/DVI and this TV doesn't have that type of HDMI port.

If you are using any other input source, check try another source or channel. (One of my TVs intermittently finds a digital channel 25-9 and gives that message. We have no clue what station is being found but all the other channels are fine.)

I hope this helps.

Timer light will not stop flashing. can't turn on TV

Unfortunately the first generation DLP's from Mitsubishi are prone to have Capacitor failure through out the chassis. Most likely that is what your set is experiencing. I would start by replaceing the suspect caps on the DM amd The Power boards. You can get the V26 Chassis DM/Power repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which also contains instructions.

Mitsubishi Model WD-52725 timer green light blinking fast

My Mitsubishi WD52725 will not turn on...the timer light is blinking. We pushed the reset button, unplugged tv. Just got off the phone with Mitsubishi customer "service." After answering numerous personal questions, and being on hold for several minutes, I was told that the only solution was to push the reset button. Duh! We'd done that several times with no change, which is why I called them! BIG WASTE OF TIME!!!!

Have a Mitsubishi 52725 52

does it give you the "airflow" message?
if so it needs a new thermal sensor by the lamp, known issue defective sensor..

if not, suspect bad capacitors
there are many bad caps across 3 board , all part of the chassis.
a repair center will ship the chassis into mits for rebuild, about 400 or 500 total bill

Had a power surge and now the lamp notification is on steadily

This is a common problem and usually shows up when power is interrupted. The capacitors in the micro, digital, and power supply have to be replaced. In my shop, we prefer to send the chassis to Mitsubishi and they repair it. Do you have a local authorized Mitsubishi service center near you?
