Bulb is only 2 mo. old. i have sound but no

step 1. Try pressing reset button. step 2 if step 1 does not work. Remove front cover and lamp door press, defeat the safety switch with a screw to hold the lamp door switch in and check to see if the lamp turns on. If it turns on for up to 10 sec then turns off replace thermal fuse.

Blue on my tv

sounds like your light engine is the problem. (optical block) there is a serious of light paths and your blue path is the problem. it can be the blue light filter or blue panel. sorry to bring bad news but this is not a DIY repair unless you are very good in electronics and light filtering plus panel aliment. plus finding those part is very hard. there are places that you can send the engine out to be rebuilt but they are expensive. (250-1000 dollars) sorry for the bad news. hope this help you out.

How do i connect a

The most common way of connecting is via DVI of the computer to the HDMI in of the tv. Note that DVI is video only and the head phones jack of the tv should be connected to the PC's speakers. This would be the easiest way to do it.

I have a mitsubishi wd-62525 and I just changed

This model has two resets, not the reset button on the front of the set.

The soft reset is with the original remote, and the set on hit menu, 1,2,3 enter.

This will reset the set to the condition it was when new in the box, yes any labels or other things will be gone and you will have to reset them.

If this does not work you now have a real problem.

let me know if you have questions.

WD-62525 went dead. Can a burned out lamp cause

No, a burned lamp would cause the power source of the tv to go in reduced mode and that would be clearly identifiable by the blinking lights on the status and lamp indicators.
If the tv is dead (no lights whatsoever)it means that the power source has failed completely - this is a big defect, that must be investigated by a pro: the origin of the failure must be found and the faulty part replaced replaced or any new part you just put in blindly will be instantly fried. At least the power source board will have to be replaced and that will cost you around $250.

Tv is only one year old and I get sound but no

I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV.

Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired of course) and found four bulged capacitors on the PSB. Many major electronics companies Philips/Magnavox, Sony, Panasonic, and others were sold capacitors that failed in 2-5 years instead of 10-20. The capacitors fail prematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in all sorts of devices and cause a wide range of failure problems.

Here are some options for you.

1. Have it fixed by a professional $$$$$$$??????? (Is it under warranty?)

2. Open your TV and find PSB. (The board that the power cord plugs into) Check for faulty caps. If you find some (bulged or leaking) bad caps replace the entire board. The entire board costs around $250 right now because they are in high demand right now. They can be found at tv-part.com but supplies are limited. I would definitely shop around though.

3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill.

Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourself it will save you hundreds.

This may be your problem. If you determine that it might be.

I have a Tip/How TO tutorial on this site that may also help. It gives step by step instructions for replacing caps on PSB #715t2432-2. If this is your board you are in luck. It's called: Fixing the Philips Turns/shuts off on its own problem. I'm working on uploading pictures to help guide people though the process as well. Let me know if I can do anything to help.

Hope this helps and if it does please rate it accordingly. Good luck.

My wd-62525 rear projection dlp

What you see is called video corruption and it's caused by a fault in the memory buffer for the image processor. This can't be fixed and, since the chip is glued in there, the entire mainboard will have to be replaced. This will cost you roughly $350 and you will have to call a dealer to get the replacement part - it's an older tv, finding parts elsewhere will be very difficult.

I have a 2002 mitsubishi

Hi
A common problem for these is bad capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your Tv and look at the power supply on the left hand side.

You will see roughly around 9 x capacitors that are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued at 3300uf 10V any that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same 3300uf but a higher voltage.
Hope this helps

Good luck......

Where is the reset button

Right on the front of the set to the left of the Power Button area you'll see a small hole. Use a paper clip point and insert to push the reset. Hope this helps!
