I just bought one off an online auction site and have the same problem I got a refund on it but it would be nice if I could get it to work properly

How can I get my Wowwee Chimp fixed 2005
Have you checked the batteries? They may be getting old and weak. The charge they have may be enough for the sounds but not enough to power the motors for the movement. Do you have a power cable to plug it into a wall outlet? Trying that will tell you if it's a power issue or an electronics issue.

I bought a wowwee mr
should be under warranty with receipt of purchase return to place of purchase confusing instructions indeed try using robot with the power source plugged into it robot wont shut down like it does on battery reset button on robot base point the remote controller towards the robot’s IR receiver so that he receives the signal properly.You can turn off Mr. Personality from a distance using the remote controller; Table 2 describes how.NOTE: If you want to turn him on after having turned him off using the remote controller’s power button, you need to restart him using the power button on the robot (press it OFF and then ON again).one online site offers a repair service
