I have hooked up my tivo and cable box but can't get my dvd player or wii to work with my cs-35405. I can not afford a tv now so please help.

You may have to hook up the DVD to the inputs on the front of the TV. If there are not enough side or front inputs, you may have to run the game through the DVD player, if it has inputs.

As old as this set is I worked on a lot of them.Red and Green only? These sets among other things with age develop bad solder connections: I suspect on the board that plugs onto the end of the picture tube you have some broken solder connections--the red, green, and blue video output circuit is there. The really hard part with this set is just getting it apart--weighs a ton.Let me know if I can help (not picking any set that heavy up).

If you feel the remote is bad, you will need to find a new remote. The best option here is to find the MCM Electronics website. They will have a brand replacement. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

Hello Mr Kumar
According to you, there was colour displaying on your TV, and it has gone for now. It is now displaying picture in pure black/white also. Since black/white, picture is Ok, there is no problem to your picture tube. It now doesn't get chroma signals. That is the problem.
There are many reasons for this fault. The first one is related to Its RF stage, that is Video IF and Tuner stage. Since picture is correct in bl/wh, tuner has no problem. Your TV has PIP functions also. You just do this one first. Tune to a station with manual tuning, and advance the tuning process till the station goes out, and try to see, at any point during this process, you gets colour or not. If you get colour in this way, your TVs tuner has some problem. Before doing this keep the antenna corectly. If antenna is not in correct position this type of fault will occur. If these two won't help, the problem may be to its Chroma IC. If so this Ic should be replaced. You just do these things first and inform me about the progress through Fixya. I've its schematic diagram and can give you the number of Ics used in different stages. But I can do it only through Fixya. I can't send it to you diretly, since it is against our terms and conditions. Since the TV is a used one we don't know its present condition also.OK.

I have a cs-35405 tv

Is that a Projection T.V? If yes, do that turn off when you are watching it? And if yes, go get your t.v transformer changed. Do that only if the second problem do occur. If not, try changing the battery of your remote, it they are old. They might have lost power. If none of them is the problem, then it must be a low voltage run.

How to set inputs in Mitsubishi CS-35405

My cs-35405, only has input 1 and input 2, but has ant. A and ant.B So there are really 4 inputs. The input button on my remote, gives choice of these 4. Any vcr, dvd, cable or cable box, and satellite would be hooked seperatly on these. But to record TV, satellite or cable would need to go to recorder first and then toTV.

TV speakers are turned off

If you already tried the audio button on remote, and turned speakers on, and set monitor volume as varible, and still isn't working, it is possible it is on mute, press mute button to turn on, if not problem, probably is an audio circuit problem.

White Line Across Television

If it is just a collapsed picture and view as a white horizontal line across your screen. Loose vertical IC connection or is start ailing. Best is to reflux its pin with a new lead or resolder it.

But I don't recommend you do it yourself if you don't have experience doing it.

Nasty voltages may caught you.

Set only has a thin line across, but sound is still

This is a problem with the vertical circuit. It can be as simple as poor solder connections at the vertical IC or a defective IC. Look for a small flat IC attached to a heatsink with about 11 pins. It may be marked LA7837 or something similar. Try resoldering the pins first. If that does not resolve the problem, replace the IC. Please note that there are potentially dangerous high voltages present inside the set even when unplugged.

Keep us posted as there may be other components that need to be replaced. If so, the symptoms will change. Report them here and we'll provide additional details.

Thanks,
Dan

Ant A and ant B

There should be 2 buttons labeled Input, in between Volume and Channel. Press up on Input. If you are using a remote different from the one that came with the TV, then look for a button labeled 'Input' 'Int' or 'Mode' somewhere along the top.

My mitsubishi CS-35405

This condition can be easily fix by replacing and IC that is the vertical amplifier.
The number is something like LA7835 or LA7836, this IC is mounted on a heatsink.
Do a search in google for it.

Black box in middle of screen

If you have a menu button on the front of your tv go into the closed caption portion and turn off the text mode . This will get your picture back . If you don't have a menu button on the front of your tv you will need a remote that can access the menu . Good luck

Vertical lines

The display screen is made of a matrix of elements connected to cables along the side and top. On your unit, some of these many, tiny connections are making contact intermittantly thus losing the elements in that area. These contacts are held in place with just pressure and if that is disturbed, you lose that line of elements. Try squeezing the cabinet of the TV on the outside at the top in the area of the loss and see if that makes a difference. May have to go inside and see if the contact assembly is disturbed or warped or something.
Hope ya fix it!
