How do I replace ink jet in officejet 4500
Step one: Remove the old cartridges 1. Press the power button to turn on the product 2. Open the front access door. The carriage moves to the far right side of the product3. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent, and then lightly press down on the cartridge to release it.To replace the tri-color cartridge, remove the cartridge from the slot on the left.To replace the black cartridge, remove the cartridge from the slot on the right.Pull the cartridge toward you out of its slot.
Step two: Install the new cartridges 1. Remove the new cartridge from its packaging. Be careful to touch only the black plastic.2. Gently remove the plastic tape by pulling the pink pull tab3. Hold the cartridge with the HP logo on top, and insert the new cartridge into the empty cartridge slot. Make sure you push the cartridge in firmly until it snaps into place.If you are installing the tri-color cartridge, slide it into the left slot. If you are installing a black cartridge, slide it into the right slot.4. Close the front access door.

Reset 4500 hp estimated inklevel
The best you can do is, Disconnect the power cord from back of printer ( while printer is on ) and reconnect after 30 seconds. This should help you in displaying ink level on printer front panel and also from solution Center on your pc ( if the complete software is installed )Basic software installation or just connected to PC will not display ink level on your PC ScreenRegards,Suhail

- Scanner failure, cycle power
Additionally, the scanner bulb might not turn on during scanning.ry the following
solutions in the order presented to resolve the issue. When one of the
solutions resolves the issue, there is no need to continue
troubleshooting.
Solution one: Check the scanner lightFollow these steps to check the scanner light by making a color copy of any document.
- Load plain white, unused, letter size paper in the paper tray.
- Lift the scanner lid, place the original face down on the scanner glass, and then lower the scanner lid.
- Make a color copy.
- When
the product starts to scan the document to copy, slightly lift the
scanner lid to see if the scanner light turns on. It is not necessary to

- If the scanner light does not turn on
when the scanner mechanism moves across the scanner bed, continue to the solution to reset the product.
- If the scanner light turns on

Solution two: Check the power connectionFollow these steps to troubleshoot the power connection.- Press the Power button (
) to turn off the product.
- Unplug
the product power cord from any surge protector, extension cord, or
power strip, and then connect the power cord directly to a wall outlet.
- Press the Power button (
) to turn on the product.
- Load plain white, unused, letter size paper in the paper tray.
- Lift the scanner lid, place the original face down on the scanner glass, and then lower the scanner lid.
- Try again to make a color copy.
- If these steps resolved the issue
, you do not need to continue troubleshooting.NOTE:If
the product works properly when plugged directly into a wall outlet
rather than a power strip or surge suppressor, the power strip or surge
suppressor might not allow enough voltage for the product to work
properly.
- If the issue persists

- Wait 30 seconds.
- Replug the power cord into the electrical outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.

My printer keeps stopping miod way through
Hi it normally just means the paper in the tray was not picked up by the machine.
Remedy remove the paper and tray get a soft cloth with some methylated spirits on it and wipe over all the feed rollers including the ones at the back.
if no meths try a damp cloth (its not easy to get to the rollers in the paper tray but you can without the need to strip the machine

in the printer menu go to the fax settings --> Fax to PC settings.
