I PURCHASED A KINGSTON MMC

SD cards allow you to store digital information; you can use SD cards with most electronic devices like digital cameras and computers. An SD card will become write protected if the switch on the card is placed on the "Lock" position. This prevents any information on the card from being altered or deleted. If you wish to add, delete or change any of the information, you must remove the write protection. Remove the SD card from the computer or digital device. Locate a switch on the bottom or side of the SD card. Move the switch to the "Unlocked" position to remove the write protection. If you do not have a switch, you will need to remove the write protection with your computer. Insert the SD card into your computer's card reader or back into the digital device. You can now save and change information on the card.

Forgotten password of micro sd card? how to reset

Micro Secure Digital memory cards, or Micro SD cards, provide storage for a variety of different kinds of devices, including mobile phones, PDAs and cameras. They can be protected by passwords so that the information that you have saved on it is secure. Sometimes, the password can be forgotten or lost. Recovering your password is easily done with your computer and SD card reader on your computer. Place the micro SD card into your card reader on your computer. Right-click your "Start" button and then "Explore". Find the micro SD card, it will be listed as a removable drive. Click on the micro SD card and the files will show on the right-hand side. Find the file that says " MMCSTORE" and then select "Copy." Right-click on your desktop and then click "Paste." This will move the MMCSTORE file to the desktop so that you can get access to edit it. Right-click on the MMCSTORE and then click on "Open With." Open the file with Notepad. Read the text to find the password. It will be in plain text. Remove the SD card from the computer and place it into the device for which it is used as storage. Turn on the device. When it prompts you for the password, enter it.

You can circumvent this restriction by formatting the card, which eliminates the password requirement. Insert the MicroSD card in your MicroSD card adapter and insert the adapter in the SD slot on your computer. Right-click "Start" and select "Explore". Click "Computer" and right-click the drive letter of the MicroSD card. Select "Format", select the "FAT32" file system from the drop-down menu and press "Enter" to reformat the card.

Memory card unlocker

Micro SD (secure data) cards store information such as Word, image and video files. Kingston microSD cards are used in many settings, such as schools, businesses and government offices, to protect data. Some Kingston microSD cards are locked for added protection. In the locked position, you cannot add or delete data from a microSD card. You will need to unlock your Kingston microSD card in order to save data on it or delete data from it. Remove the Kingston microSD card from whatever device it is kept in, whether it's a storage case, a digital camera or a GPS. Find the small plastic switch on your Kingston microSD card. If you are looking at the microSD card with the arrow pointing away from you, the switch will be on the right side of the card. Flip the switch on the card to the unlocked position. This will enable you to store and remove files on your Kingston microSD card. http://www.kingston.com/flash/securedigital.asp

Fash drive virus

Insert your USB drive in the appropriate USB slot in your computer. If the Autoplay dialog box appears, select "Take No Action" and click the "OK" button. Launch your anti-virus program, such as AVG Antivirus or Anti Malware. Select the USB drive for the program to scan. Click the "Start Scan" button or option. Open the scan history for the USB drive when the scan is complete to see a list of viruses and warnings identified by the antivirus software. If desired, select the options to "Heal All Infected Files" or "Move the Infected Files to the Virus Vault" to ensure these files are quarantined from your system. Highlight each infected file in the scan history. Write down the file name of each infected file identified on the USB drive. Minimize the application's window. Select "Run" from the Windows "Start" menu. In the Run window, type "e:/" at the command prompt to switch to your USB drive (or type the drive letter for your USB drive). Press the Enter key. Type "attrib -s -h -r -a *.*" at the command prompt to remove the system, hidden, read-only and archive file attributes. Press the Enter key. Type "del ####.+++" where "####" is the file name of the infected file and "+++" is the file extension, at the command prompt line. Press the Enter key. For example, "del terriblevirus.exe" will specifically delete the Terrible Virus executable file. Repeat for each infected file on your list identified. Close the command prompt window; that is, exit the Run utility. Maximize the window for your anti-virus program (which is still open) and repeat Steps until no virus is detected on your USB drive. Exit the anti-virus application. or Click start click on my computer you should see your usb drive right click then select format. another way is to control panel administrative tools computer management disk management Right Click on your drive select format

No. If Kingston Kim is Nigerian, you may want to waste her time with endless, pointless correspondence, though.

I have kingston usb model dt102/4gbz. When I connect it to my laptop so "usb not recognized" appear and usb not working. What can I do to solve this problem. Please tell me..Thanks.

I can think of several possible reasons it's not getting recognized: 1. It's broken 2. Your OS is so old it doesn't recognize it 3. you need a driver you may be able to get from the driver manufacturer
