You may have turned on a second audio channel intended for the visually impaired. Do you have your original remote? Try pressing the Channel 1/2 button next the the closed caption button. Alternatively, try the Audio Select button.

Final thing to try is in the Menu looking for a SAP (second audio program) item (probably in the Audio section).

Some of the manuals are still available from http://www.sansuiproducts.com/accessories.html but I'm not sure about this TV's manual.

open the cover of your TV and resolder the CRT board it is a board connected to the picture tube.

Orion codes include: 0121, 0135 and 0035. Good luck!

You can power scan for the code.
Turn ON the electronic device you want to program the remote to control.
Press the Mode button( sat,tv,dvd,aux) on the remote until the appropriate mode light is flashing.

Press the Power button. The mode light will stop flashing and stay lit.
Press the Up or Down arrow button to set the remote to the next code. The Down arrow button scans backward and the Up arrow button scans forward.
When the correct code is reached, the device (whether a TV, VCR, or other) will turn off.

Press the pound key button to store the code in the remote control memory. If the code is valid for your remote, the mode light will blink 3 times.
Turn the device back ON by pressing the Power button.
Press sat mode key once you power back on the tv to be able to operate the receiver box.
Try some other functions to make sure you have the correct code. Occasionally the Power button may work when others do not.
If the other buttons work you are finished.

If the other buttons do not work, repeat the previous steps. The scan will resume from the last code stored.
The mode light will flash rapidly when the scan has returned to the starting point and all codes have been tested for that mode. The remote control may not control some device models.

Press the Stereo or MTS button on the remote control until the words STEREO appear on screen. There usually are 3 options MONO/STEREO/SAP

If you are on cable, many cable companies changed and now require subscribers to have a converotr box. If you are on cable, ask your cable company if there has been a change.

You may need to replace the batteries, or something in the way of the receiver. Take the remote back to the place you bought it, they may be able to tell you if it's broken.

If you cannot reach the AV input mode by scrolling through the channel up down, nor is there is a source or TV/AV button on the set it self, then the news is bad I am sorry. You will need the remote to get AV inputs on this set.
You can get a new remote for the set from here for $1995. Plus postage. Note that it has the TV/AV button.
