Does the instruction book state that the set as built in freeview.if doesyou might still need a digatil box ,as older set will not decode the newer signals, A box can be connected through the scart connector on the back of the tv , you might have to fit a wide band aerial outside if your signal strength is weak Hope this will help

Sounds like a failed power supply / power board inside the TV. Unfortunately this is a very difficult repair, and unless you are an electrician I would not recommend attempting it. You will need to contact a local TV repair person in your area. If you think it may still be under warranty please contact the manufacturer to file an RMA. If you happened to purchase the TV with a major credit card (not a debit card) there is a good chance it may still be under the free extended warranty most credit cards place on electronics. Please contact your credit card company to inquire if they do this, and they will be able to file the claim and get you a refund for the TV.

So sorry that I don't have better news but it is definitely a power issue internally.

The beep sound you hear from the TV is short circuit indication. There is some short in the circuit board. It has to be checked well before any comment to this fault; because so many points in it can be shorted. The main cause is due to main secondary power supply volatage. Even a rectifer diode short will give you this symptom. As the set stopped working, the fault will be surely to its horizontal output section itself. Anyway it won't cost more to get it repaired. This is not a user repairable fault. Get it repaired by any experienced service technician. Detecting the exact short point is the main job, and it needs proper measuring equipments to go on. OK.

You may have a loose connection, or a bad flyback unit on the set. Either way you should not turn it on till you get it looked at or you may cause irreversable damage to the tube or other components. I can't pin it down from just this description, you will need someone to get their hands and eyes on it to determine the cause.

I would suggest you try to find a universal remote that has an "input" or "source" button and program that one to your tv. By pressing the "source" or "input" button, it will change the input to the tv. I hope this helps! -Der Strom

1.) Hold down the clear "TV" button on the remote for four seconds, then press 500 pound ( #)
2.) Hold down the clear "TV" button on the remote for four seconds, press the big power button once.
3.) Press the channel up button once per second until the TV turns off then press pound (#).

If this doesn't work and you have an LCD TV turn off the back light. As it is probably causing interference this is found in the TV menus.

Look for a button said Menu on the tv manual bottons on the bottom of the bazel frame of the tv.Push that button.Go into tv menu look for Captioning Functions.Have Closed Captioning CC1,2,3 or TEXT 1,2,3 turn it all off.Will have no more close captioning or black boxes,will pop up on ur tv screen.

You just buy one [CISCO-6400 ] Universal remote control to which your Orion TV is listed in its codes, and have all the buttons you need. Just go for it. It is a good one I thinks. Codes for Orion are:- 1023_1033_1107.
Keep trace with its manual to alaigh the remote to your TV.

There should be a button on your remote control labeled "input" "in_sel" or "input select" or possibly "TV/Video". Press that button and then the TV will either cycle through the inputs with each press, OR it will bring up a menu that lets you select between the inputs.
If you do not have the remote control, then I believe that you are out of luck. You may be able to purchase an inexpensive 3rd party programmable remote and use it to select between the inputs though.

you could take the back off and soilder the connector back on. Or there is an easier way! Simply cut the cable wire end off and just cut the rubber part off and leave the copper wire in the middle and push it in where the cable connector was on the tv and you can actually still pick up a good signal that way you just have to move it around in there till you hit the right spot that picks up a good picture. hope this helps.Happy Holidays!!

In the menu screen, you must find antenna connections. For example " TV Air "(over the air channels 2 through 13) or cable TV. You must tell the menu to select cable TV (with the original remote). This will allow you access to channel 90. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support.

Picture waving can be due to many reasons. The first reason is ariel connection. Check it first for tight and not loose contacted. Second one is due to the main filter capacitor connected across the main rectified power supply DC. If the capacitor goes value reduced or opened, waves may occur. If this is the reason, picture will show blooming effect also. Check the mair rectifier bridge also. [email protected]
