Not all speakers work all the time. It is how the dvd was recorded. Get a test dvd or run the test sequence to see how it's supposed to work.

Muhammad, you need to go to the function that provides surround sound, have a dvd that was recorded in 5.1, have all the speakers and the sub-woofer connected.

deferctive laser lense already. try to replace if more economical than buying new unit

I'm sorry that the DVD player is not working as expected. Please follow the troubleshooting steps and check the operation:

• Please make sure that the connections are secure and proper.
• Perform a power resetting and check the operation. To perform the power resetting, unplug the DVD player from wall outlet for more than 2 minutes and then reconnect it.
• I also suggest that you try connecting the DVD player to a different Wall outlet and check the operation.
• If the issue persists, please open the box and check for any loose connection.

The laser lens is full of dust. For best results open the unit, blow away the dust under the lens with a can of compressed air and finally wipe it gently with a q-tip.

First remove power cord from the wall for five minutes o reset the firmware. Then power on again and let the firmware load before inserting any dvd or cd. If it still can not read the disks, you use TDK lens cleaner until it can read the cleaner disk. It maybe power line glitches, you may need powerline filters for this dvd player.

It should run all the time, before your DVR-S150
overheats. The fan is there to prevent overheating.

have the same problem. DVD's play back with sound OK, but the tuner has no sound. any advice?

you have a problem with your laser lens now. it has to be replaced. but not practical to replace because it is not that cheap. It is more practical to buy a new unit and have a longer warranty period. if you get the laser to replace it, how long will it be warrantied? and what is the guarranty no other trouble will come?
