Hello, Plug it into wall outlet and let it become hot (without plugin any glue into ) about an hour.. When it gets hotter the molded glue in the back channel/barrel of the gun will be melted and back side will be freed to accept a new glue stick. My regards

If it goes on crooked, you may not be able to restart the wheel straight if the axle splines have cut into the wheel crooked. A new wheel may be needed again.
