At the bottom of the lever there should be a pinch bolt with locking nut, this will just need tightening up to increase resistance on the lever.

it sounds like you may have a switch that has come UN plugged, dirty connection or just a bad switch. check all of the switches. seat blade and brake. you can check these with a continuity tester. you tube has many videos on how to check. i hope this solves your problem.

EACH BLADE IS ATTACHED WITH A CENTER BOLT.

There is a cable going to the clutch. If you follow the cable from the clutch, you will find a small plug and socket joiner. Separate the cable at that point and check with a multi-metre that you have 12 Volt on the incoming feed cable. If yes, clean the contact and plug the two cable ends together. If that fails, you might have to remove the clutch and check it externally. To adjust it, you will find a lot of helpful tips in You Tube.

Check your battery with a voltmeter and also check for safety switches. Make sure you blade switch is off, parking brake is on, and handles are all the way out or apart. On mine when you try to start it the hour meter will show battery voltage and if something is not in the correct position it will light up an indicator light showing a safety switch corresponding to what is wrong

or you sure blades on right sometimes hard to tell if yes you have bad bearings

The electromagnetic coupling is on the bottom of the crankshaft under the mower engine. When the magnets are engaged (power is supplied), they activate the pulley that moves the deck belt.

It does sound like a belt problem, if possible replace it with a kevlar belt, they last way longer and will survive more abuse.

Do you mean it is cutting the grass lower on one side. If that is what its doing there is several things that will need to be checked starting with the blades first. Remove the blades and inspect, making sure you have not maybe bent one. If blades are OK, Next I would check and make sure the blades are installed or seated properly. Some have a spacer, if yours have spacers make sure they are on both sides While doing this you can also check the spindles for play in the bearings. They should turn freely with no up/down play. If this doesn't help there are other things it could be however this is my best guess. 30+yrs working on mowers.
