The amplifier for this channel is NOT working.

Check it without speaker connection. If the set does not go to protection mode, check all the speakers by connecting one by one at a time and switch the set ON; to find the faulty speaker. Adding on again: I have interchanged speakers, if i connect any speaker on the right front channel it will not work. When I do a automated speaker test only right front channel does work.

Special connectors are not required. It accepts twisted bare wire. I use 14-gauge lamp cord and prefer to bare the last 1/2", twist it into a nice tight bundle then solder it to hold the strands together and give the wire physical strength to withstand the various attachment hardware.

Not if it wasn't manufactured for an area of use that is running something other than 120 volts. If it wasn't imported then plug it in and go.

Thats because if you look in the owner's manual, it declares the fact that it will only broadcast sound from hdmi to monitor not speakers. For sound out of speakers need to connect additional audio cable.

HI,you are not getting picture because the yam 363 dose not upscale or convert the picture from the composite input to hdmi.You will have to put a video cable from the composite out put on the amp to a scart convertor into the tv or put console picture into the tv and sound to the amp.

Yes if it has a suitable speaker connection available and is nominally 8 ohms impedance Speaker and AV.

Being from 1985 or there abouts, it probably needs some TLC at a Yamaha service centre. May need new capacitors and resolder dry joints for age related issues.

WD-40 ... Very dangerous as it not only flammable when wet but is bad for electrical contacts as it leaves a residue behind that does not conduct electricity very well. Check speaker connections first.

(francais) hello in my issue the probleme was a little resistor r027 it's in this red zone and very ugly. easy to find. a friend was unsolded the resistor and weld a little wire after wash with isopropanole alcool. the resistor test the tension when we plug usb thing. less the resistor the usb ports don't work. you can buy r027 for 2 euros for 100 pieces.... or 2 euros for 5 10 pieces (funny).
